This topic is probably a duplicate from a old one but here it go: So why you have own a Jeep ?

Jeep landed in the family because of my grand father. He came back from the other side of the pond with a bunch of war story and I guess he passed the idea to my dad who got a CJ 7. My dad was having two dream car he wanted to own in is life a Jeep and a corvette, he got the jeep first and never got around to the corvette. I guess Jeep is all you need
Learned to drive on that jeep and later on got a JK and now a JL.

So I guess it run in the family :)

i had a 97 TJ 4cyl. Also nice but under powered And no A/C
my wife decided she wanted a new one with A/C and a stick so that’s what we have. Great Jeep, 21 JLR
i love lockers and low range. Crossover suv owners don’t know what they are missing.

Wanted a weekend toy that I could daily. I went to buy a BRZ and the dealer told me it would be a $7000 markup, so I walked out. Found a local dealer who was doing no hassle below invoice orders, so I placed my order.

I needed to get out of a more costly vehicle and was just getting into a travel mentality. I started watching YouTube more and seeing these channels explore in their Jeeps and thought that sounded fun so I started looking to trade for a JL in Oct 2019. I think I’ll always have one now.

Pretty much this for me too.

Wanted something that could get me to harder to reach places in the mountains, started with a grand Cherokee, but eventually decided I just wanted to go all in, and get the most capable vehicle there is.

I'm a bachelor so there wasn't really even any decisions or discussions that needed to be had, I just wanted a wrangler one day so I went to the dealership and got one.

Same here. Had a Grand Cherokee ZJ with the 5.2 that I beat to death. I sold it to a friend with 230k miles on the clock and a transmission that couldn't decide what gear it wanted to be in at 55 mph.

I bought this Jeep about a year and a half ago but I've only done some light trails locally. The plan is to start upgrading really soon based on need. Counting down the weeks until my youngest is done with daycare and that weekly check...

Wife and I thought we needed to be responsible since kids were on the way so we got rid of our fun Off-roader (3rd gen Taco). Just a few months later we realized we're just not "regular" car sort of people.
