Yes, but no one can argue that you have a flair about you when discussing flares.
those spelling police will get you every time, but thanks, I did correct it.

I thought this thread was about poke bowls and was a bit confused until I opened it. I must have food on the brain for some reason...
Yeah... my initial thought when reading the subject line was, "because it's delicious!"

Personally, I like the way it looks. Nothing too crazy but a little looks tougher, beefer. That said, the shortcomings to ride, brakes, fuel economy and everything slung down the sides broke me of having wheels and tires that poke out.

Different pokes for different folks
This forum always amazes me with the number of folks so concerned about what others are doing. The whole MYOFB seems lost with many today.
The guy simply asked a question. Can people not be questioned anymore about why they do things or why they do things certain ways? Isn't that how understanding is achieved? You have to ask questions if you want to learn. Either answer the question or don't, but you don't have to be a jerkface who gets offended at the mere asking of a question.

Does having a wider stance increase stability in our JLs? does the Jeep feel more planted and drives better than stock?
Stability in curves and corners on road, and off camber situations offroad? Yes, the wider track helps to offset the higher center of gravity from larger tires and ride height.

As far as driving better than stock? That all depends on tire size, and if one goes far enough down the rabbits hole to support said tire size. The taller the tire, the deeper the climb to reach a better driving Jeep than it was in stock form.

I'd prefer the tire hit first. I've already popped a fender off twice. It's just a byproduct of larger tires.

Sorry I came off as such a jerkface, Pastor? Maybe it's just the pessimist in me with society today as a whole. When I read the OP it didn't come off as a curious interest but more along the lines of, why would you think to do such a thing? People do all kinda weird things to their cars/bodies today. Let them be.

I heard a good saying recently... "Ridiculous things deserve to be ridiculed." That's why I like these kinds of discussions. It let's us find out if something is ridiculous or not. That used to be how society stayed sane.

It's my job as a pastor to tell the truth, and the truth was that you were being a rude jerkface. If you can't handle that constructive criticism, that's on you. Have a blessed day!
