69,000 miles on my diesel and runs better today than the day i drove it off the lot. KIlls on MPG and torque and If i ever bought another Jeep it would be a diesel but they don't make diesels anymore so...
I was thinking about trading my diesel in on a used 392 at my local dealer. I understand the difference between trade in vs private sell, KBB showed $43k, he offered me $34k.... Clown.
I remove the fuse, forgot the number, disconnected the second negative terminal on negative side of the main battery, removed the auxiliary and changed the main to a yellow top Optima. Now I need to buy a tazer so I can quit hitting the button.
My Jeep is less than 3 years old and the main and auxiliary batteries have failed 2x in 30 months, with no aux lights or winch, and pushing the ESS off button every time my ass hits the start button. I've never seen batteries shit the bed as fast as these Jeep batteries do, 100+ temps or not...
I had the P2002 code as well. Cracked DFP, all replace under manufacture's exhaust component warranty. Free new complete rear axle and now DPF, i'll take it lol. Now for the HPFP.
Mine went bad a year ago, and it drained the main battery too. dealer covered both under warranty. Went out 3 weeks ago to start it, deader than a hammer, checked axillary and main, both BAD again after one year. ESS is just more shit we don't need.
Had both batteries replaced 1 year ago under warranty. I got the Aux switches message the other day and Jeep was dead the morning. Sad state of affairs when OEM aux battery only last 12 months. Pulling the fuse, disconnecting the small ground and replacing the main with an Optima H7.
I had a 2019 JLRU and now have a 2021 JLRUD, there is no comparison for torque and power, night and day difference, same for fuel mileage. The diesel makes the 3.6 feel anemic.
45000 trouble free miles on my diesel. the only thing i've had a problem with is the BS green ESS battery. Torque is fantastic, power is fantastic and mpg is 10 better than my 3.6 i had.
