I went with the X20 10K with synthetic. Nice solid winch, comes with wired/wireless remote. Very happy with this winch.

I just bought the X20 10K, now to find time to mount it.I went with the X20 10K with synthetic. Nice solid winch, comes with wired/wireless remote. Very happy with this winch.

None. Had two that the drum wouldn't turn (free spool) on right out of the box. Went with an Engo.

I had the same issue. It turns out the grease in the winch is like cosmoline. Actually it may be cosmoline. In any event I called Smittybuilt and complained so they sent me another winch. I took both apart and used aviation grease, which they recommended, so I have two working winches, one of which is on my JLUR.
