The 8274 not only a good winch, but a great conversation piece haha. I get asked quite often what it is I have on my bumper

yeah, they are great winch and easy to maintain. is yours a new style and how are they in comparison to the old 8274.

Not an issue any more anyway....Warn has apparently discontinued the 9.5 and 12 Powerplant models....regardless, they were substantially larger in terms of the height and width that would have blocked the radiator, whether you mounted them in a bumper that had the winch plate below the top surface of the bumper or not.
LOL, i was just looking on the warn website and didnt see them. so 8274 or another style will do for me.

Mines an ‘83 model. Only gripe I have beside weight is how much resistance there is to try and free spool line out. I have it set up on a wireless controller from TSC so I can just use the motor to walk the line out but since I run synthetic it likes to grab the line and reverse wind the line in. Damn near rip your arm out of socket hahaha
