Someone on Facebook, suggested this cabin air filter - I found it on Amazon:

I've used Wix cabin filters in my other vehicles. They are good filters. Their new XP cabin filters are even better.

Wix also makes some of the best oil filters in the industry. I use their oil XP filters available on Amazon and O'Reilley, which can also be had under the NAPA Gold label as well.

I can personally vouch for the K&N Cabin Filters. Honestly, one of the best things that I did. Yes, I was wondering what the oil might do. One cleans it and that's all it does. The other is supposed to help trap more contaminants (but I can't really vouch exactly for that) but it definitely helps it to continue to make it smell like new. I had a problem with the standard Mopar filters because they would absorb moisture and the Jeep would smell like mildew.

Plus like others said, reusable, so saves you money and saves a little bit on the environment.

@CarbonSteel

I saw those a while back but measurements were different then the OEM and other aftermarket cabin air filters for the JL/JLU/JT, so I did not order. Once you get and try/do the install, please post back and let me /other's here know.
The size/model number came from this post - https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/cabin-air-filter-part-servicing.5432/post-776988

I changed mine out at 20K and the Amazon filter fit fine, it was not overly tight or loose. I think at the time when I bought them I could not find the part number for the Mopar filter or it was just too much $$$ as compared to others. I see that Rock Auto stocks them now, so after I change the next time, I will probably go back to the Mopar filters.

Well the price for these Amazon Basics is aok.... so, I was eyeballing them so to speak. But after seeing the dimensions were quite different and me finding the OEM filter for about $3.00 more then the Amazon Basics ..... WELL, I decided to stick with the OEM.

$13.39 which includes shipping... buy from eBAY.

Noticed today, the JL and JT's with the Diesel Engine , use a different cabin air filter then the JL/JT's with 3.6 and 2.0.

They use: Mopar 68364653AA Cabin Air Filter

I just dropped in the KN washable one in my JL sport a couple weeks ago. Haven't had it long enough to really have any thoughts about it. Install is easy.

So I have a washable air intake filter (AFE) and cabin filter (KN).

Could you share a link? I can't seem to find them at that price...
