Mine is still going as of April 2022. Oct 2018 build, December 2018 purchase. Call it 40 months.

I have the 2.0 etorque. I don't have an auxiliary battery I have the 48v lithium ion battery pack which runs the belt start generator. My start stop function stopped working. It is seamless with the etoque, and I missed the lack of vibration at idle. This forum helped me determine that that was a sign of my 12v car battery needing to be replaced. It lasted 40 months.

;) I was just itching to order it anyway. It's a done deal. The dual tray and control system along with the monitor were in stock at Northridge 4x4. But no discounts are running nor is our forum a qualifying coupon for these.

I just replaced my main battery at 41 months and 24,500 miles. Surprisingly the aux battery still seems to be fine, but I will be keeping a closer eye on it now to make sure it doesn't start pulling down the new main battery.

Just replaced the main battery 15 minutes ago.
Say 34 months.
Going to try to completely bypass the Aux battery (none to be found in my neck of the woods).

I'm at 40 months since purchased, 42 months since build, 20,000. Still working. But I punch the ESS overide everytime I drive.

The only downside to that is when the ESS stops working, it is a giant obvious red flag that you probably need to replace the battery soon. I'd suggest to engage ESS once a week and make sure it still functions. If not, test both batteries. I had zero issues other than ESS rarely wanting to engage.

@shane h.

At least you are not considering going with a pricey aftermarket dual battery offering that you really do not need.. That you will still have to maintain or have issues with.

For under $8.00 and in less then 5 mins time you can set your JL up to run with just the Main battery.

Anyway, get it done, don't try...... Just remember .... if you run with just the Main, minimize the use of the ESS... either push the ESS button or buy an adjunct that does the button push for you each time your start the JL.

The bad news: Unfortunately Genesis is not allowing discounts on their product at this time. ?

The good news: Free shipping! :like:
