A persons build thread named Phil, just installed this on the oem steel bumper and had to trim the top opening more to get it to fit.Damn, only about an inch wider than my M8000

Probably heavier though
I had to do the same for my M8000 as well. Wasn't much, no biggie.A persons build thread named Phil, just installed this on the oem steel bumper and had to trim the top opening more to get it to fit.
Which winch plate did you use? Also, it doesn't look like you moved the wiring like I've seen on other installs and the clutch handle isn't interferring with the bumper?I recently installed the badlands 12k with synthetic rope on MY26 Rubicon with Factory 35's.
When I measured the ride height from axle to strut mount it was 11.5 on the driver's and 11.75 on the passenger side. Once the winch was installed I measured again. The driver side was the same and the passenger side was about an 1/8" lower so it almost leveled it out from side to side?

The wife said she didn't notice any difference in the way it handles.
I think you are comparing apples and oranges. The Rubicon comes with a steel bumper and if his is an X with 35’s it already has stiffer springs. My experience after placing a Warn zeon 10 platinum with winch plate and even after adding 2 sets of lights and a brush guard was basically the same. Negligible change in height. For a stock sport who knows? Could be one , two , three or four inches of sag![]()
So what you’re telling me is that my 2dr sport isn’t going to lose much height with a 70lb @CavFab_mfg crawler series steel front bumper and a 70lb badlands apex 12000!
Makes sense. These springs are off of a 2024 392 X/XR though!I think you are comparing apples and oranges. Well if that’s the case I cannot imagine any significant drop.Makes sense. These springs are off of a 2024 392 X/XR though!
Used the Grimm off-road winch plate. Did not move the wiring, and the handle clears but you gotta keep you fingers on the top side.Which winch plate did you use? The superwinch Scorpion 10k might be another low profile option. It's not as wide or as tall. Looks like a new entry to the market.
