I went with a Borla Atak for my V6. It's their loudest model, but honestly its not too loud unless you're flooring it. I got a used one on craigslist for $300, well worth it.

I ordered the same thing but it's on back order. First I was told it would ship 2/27, now they're saying it ships 3/13. I don't want anything loud either, but I need it louder than stock for my MT. I like shifting at about 3500 rpm and this stock muffler is so quiet. Is there any droning? Are you driving an automatic or a MT? I'm excited to get it. I definitely, at the very least, like the high clearance as well as less weight, and the throatier aggressive tone.

Update: I actually noticed the exhaust I ordered is different, Its the muffler delete aFe Power 49-48070 with the black tip.

Looking forward to your opinion of it after you get it installed.

I also have a manual transmission. No drone at all.

nice grab for $300. I was looking at my local craigslist and offer up but no luck in anything.

I'd like to find some sound clips of that one, that's the one I liked for clearance. But man, they're grown proud of those things. New price seems to be $502, and a couple places I checked said out o stock until 5/5/22.

That's a lot for a muffler.
That is a bit pricey for sure. I got mine from Northridge4x4 just after Christmas on sale for $380. I thought that was expensive.

Whats up fellas, Im looking to do an exhaust mod for a deeper rumble sound but nothing too loud. Which exhaust do you have and thoughts?

I was looking at the Redrock axle back exhaust. Seems like a good price. Borla Is a but expensive for my price range.

any feedback or thoughts are much appreciated!
I'm glad you asked. I picked up the dynomax muffler delete and it sounds awesome. Quiet around town but definitely has a growl when you get on it. Clearance and weight savings are bonus.

The MSRP is like $659 on their website, and their "sale" prices is $527. The thing was barely $400 in December, a couple places had it for the price you paid. I was holding off on a muffler until after we got the Jeep, but now realize that it's probably going to be pushing $750 by summer.

I'll probably buy some mandrel bends and a muffler and build it myself at this point. I thought $400 for a muffler, a very small amount of pipe and a clamp was bad, but over $500 is just getting idiotic.

Stock, and it will stay that way. My last TRD Pro had the TRD performance exhaust and I absolutely hated it. It droned pretty much at any speed and just seemed so stupid to have a “loud” exhaust on a vehicle like that. I love the stock exhaust on my Rubi.

BORLA, all the way. The install and the sound are awesome. The coating is well not that great on mine.. Chipped within a week of install so now I am going to have to spray the muffler flat black from the cool “harder grey coat” I had.

Even with that said I would buy again.

I had a Cadillac Escalade, with the B&B exhaust on it. Real deep and mellow, I loved the sound. As for the V6, mine will remain stock, because I know, that I cannot duplicate the sound of the V8 in the Escalade.

Thanks for everyone's input. Sorry, but I can't justify $500+ for an exhaust. I was looking around for other options, and found THIS Red Rock exhaust on Amazon. Anyone have any feedback on this one?
