1. It is not sad. I plead ignorance which is why I read this forum. Everyone has been so helpful. I've learned tons about this jeep I've purchased. As a salesman it's pretty sad to see that a customer left the dealership and doesn't know what the simplest buttons are on there vehicle. As a regular person I don't understand how a person doesn't know what homelink is. I've seen it on cars since the late 90's.
I bought from a used car dealership. Have had nothing but problems.I meant as a salesman it's sad, because I don't let a customer leave without showing everything possible on there vehicle whether it is new or used. For the homelink I explain how to program, show in the owners manual if there is one, and send a link to the website. That way if they can't figure it out there are a lot of videos on it. So, if you were my customer and had to post asking what something so simple is I would be embarrassed.

You will probably rarely think about those random buttons ever again. lol2. None of the vehicles I've owned, including Jeeps, have had these buttons. I've never had a garage. This is new for me.
If you want to see snarky comments, post a picture of a Jeep with an angry grille on this forum. I will be one of the first of many to ridicule you for it...I did not get one. I can't believe that a simple question begets so much sarcasm. I have learned tons from this forum but now I'm hesitant to ask a question due to ridicule. Thanks for your sane answer.
Your question wasn‘t stupid, but stick around this forum long enough and you may change your mind about number 3 in your list1. It is not sad. I plead ignorance which is why I read this forum. Everyone has been so helpful. I've learned tons about this jeep I've purchased.

3. There is no such thing as a stupid question.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HomeLink_Wireless_Control_SystemHomeLink won the Automotive News PACE Award in 1997, for supplying automotive technology to improve consumer interaction between the car and the home.[2] By 2003, it had been installed on over 20,000,000 automobiles.
Homelink isn't a standard feature on a lot of models. It's usually a trim above the base model. It's easily possible they haven't had it before. This tech has been in cars for 27 years and she doesnt know what it is? Thats kinda the reason people havent taken this thread quite as seriously as others.
