I'm finally getting around to a build thread about a year into my wife's ownership of her first Jeep. She chose to name her Jeep "Warthog" after the vehicle in "Red vs Blue" or RVB. If you are not familiar with the show, here is an exerpt from the episode with the "Warthog". https://rvb.fandom.com/wiki/Red_Gets_a_Delivery

She purchased her Jeep from Ourisman in MD for 8% under invoice in March of 2019. Sting Gray JLUR with 3.6, 850RE, Packages 24R, ERC, DFT. Factory options were keyless entry, steel bumper group, safety group, LED, 8.4 radio, trailer tow, cold weather, body color flares and hard top. This was her first Jeep and her only requirement was she wanted AEV Savegre wheels with 35" tires.

we wanted a little more than the 2” lift that the AEV provided and came across a great deal on the lift.

So, no complaints about the AEV, correct? I am planning going that route and am looking for feedback on it. Only running 315's on a rubicon.

AEV was great with the longer Mopar control arms!

Great build. I just ordered my first jeep so I'm going to steal all your trail locations you posted about since we're practically neighbors. I'm in Riva.

The Jeep has been working great for what we do so there haven’t been any updates. We are headed out tomorrow to run some blue trails at Rausch Creek in the snow so we decided to install the Rockhard 4x4 LCA skid plates that we have had sitting on the shelf for 2 years as a precaution.

Did a battery replacement on the JL yesterday. We went with an Odyssey H7 for the main battery and a Duracell Aux14 for the auxiliary battery. Took about an hour and a half. I’m glad I bought extra clips for the fender because I broke 5. I used an E6 socket to remove and reinstall the battery posts on the aux battery.

@Brian0128 Super nice build and great stance on 37s. Did you have to adjust the steering stop bolt to eliminate any rub at full-lock on the savegere wheels? esp after you centered axles through adjustable trackbars?

The steering stop bolt is not the limiting factor with the steering with this build, it's the Synergy lower control arms. The Savegre offset causes the 37" tires to come in contact with the Synergy LCA's. 4.5 wheel offset would be better but we preferred the tread to be just under the fenders.

The stock control arms inward bend cleared it but the synergy did not eh?
I am doing 5.45 offset wheels on 37 KO2. I will still be on stock LCA after lift as I opted to do geometry correction bracket + track bars. All stock control arms

Since you just responded to this thread, I would like to ask a few questions.

1. How have your lockers held up? Any issues with the sensor or anything?

2. How have the axles held up to the heavy 37s?

3. How have your ball joints & suspension held up?

Just curious as I am finally about to get going on lift, tires, & other mods to my JLUR. Life & other expenses keep getting in my way. But, I only have just over 20,000 miles & not a lot of "hard" offroading.

Thanks!

1. How have your lockers held up? Any issues with the sensor or anything?
No issues with the lockers. I change the diff fluid front and rear every 25k miles.

2. How have the axles held up to the heavy 37s?
No issues with the axles on the 37's. We go to Rausch Creek and wheel hard blue's and some easy black's 4x a year.

3. How have your ball joints & suspension held up?
No issues with the OEM ball joints yet. 61k miles. Swapped the shocks, springs and sway bar links at 50k with a set of takeoffs that I picked up locally that had less than 500 miles. The bushings on the sway bar links were worn out the rear shocks were seeping oil.

Awesome, that's some solid information. Thank you for taking the time to let us all know.

Such a sweet rig!
