This is our journey with our first Jeep. After many years of wanting a Jeep, we finally did it. I was lucky enough to get exactly what we wanted by building our Jeep on the website and found out that a nearby dealer was scheduled to receive it soon. After a quick phone call, and a painless negotiation, we ended up putting down a deposit on Dec 27th and our Jeep arrived on Jan 26th. it had exactly 6 miles with most of the plastic wrap still on it.

Side note - This was probably the best new car buying experience we've ever had! I'll post about the experience in the other forum.

Here's the build plan

Suspension:
JKS 3.5-4.5" adjustable kit
JKS J-Axis adjustable lower control arms
JKS HD Springs
JKS adjustable track bars
Fox 2.5 Race Series with remote reservoirs F&R
Fox 2.0 Factory ATS Steering stabilizer
SumoSprings F&R

Wheels & Tires
Terraflex Nomad Deluxe Wheels 17x8.5 in Titanium Gray, Offset 0, BS 4.75"
BFG KO2 37x12.5x17 tires
Terraflex tire carrier
Terraflex tail gate bracket (TBD rel)

Armor
Mopar factory steel bumper F&R
Mopar hoop
LOD Signature series rockslider
Skid plates (TBD)
PPF on select area

Recovery
Warn VR-10S 10k winch w/Synthetic rope
Factor 55 Flatlink Red
Factor 55 soft shackle
Factor 55 kinetic rope
Poison Spyder 30' straps
Maxtrax boards
High Lift Jack

Air comp
ARB Twin comp kit
ARB Digital inflator

Rack
Rhino rack backbone
Rotopax

Tent
23Zero Walkabout 72

More to come, but we want to get the basic and then see which way we want to go as we start taking trips out on the trails.

Here's the day we picked her up

Alright, my next couple of pictures were garbage so I will post other pictures next time we take it off to add parts as they arrive. This is stock before the installation of the lift kit and wheels.

This is the after immediately after the lift.

We're waiting on the other components to arrive but I'm loving it so far.

We've been waiting on parts but COVID delays and then the deep freeze happened. In the mean time, I finally got around to installing a few more little things.

Rugged Ridge stubby antenna

Installation was simple

Nomad wheels before the bash rings

I decided to go with the black bash rings instead of red to keep it more subdued.

Mopar hoop. Went with a functional but not over the top hoop.

A few more goodies came in.
Warn VR-10, synthetic lines with a Factor 55 link

this next picture really shows how low profile it is. The mount is solid and it is a legit stout rack. Now we’re just waiting for the 23Zero tent to arrive

Finally the adjustable front lower control arms are in...so much more articulation from the Johnny-joints and they are solid! Still waiting on rear lowers and uppers.

Fox ATS stabilizer with a custom mount for a higher and out of the way position is in as well

I’m liking it so far!

How are the sumo springs? Did they add any bounce to the ride or do they benefit they ride? Just ordered some because the factory bumps scare me lol

I haven't bottomed them out yet, but will likely do it when I take her out and start rock crawling. Cheaper than the hydraulic bump stops but more progressive bottoming out protection than the stock ones for sure.

What are your thoughts on the 'Fox 2.5 Race Series with remote reservoirs F&R - I'm planning on doing the Rock Krawler No Limits 3.5" x-factor with those (looking forward to compression adjustability).

Build looks fantastic.

Than you. I absolutely love them, I came from a moto and mtb background and have always had good experience with FOX Racing. I went with the 2.5 because I knew I would be adding quite a bit of weight when fully loaded out for trip and wanted the ability to have a setting for the highway trip getting from Texas to Utah for example and then be able to soften it up for the trails while in Utah. Then when I am just driving around town with the roof, doors and everything off it, I wanted the ability to have a sensible ride as well.

Looking forward to seeing your build with the X-factor.

More subdued.... riiiiiiiight. Who's gonna notice that Jeep driving by, said nobody! Looks fantastic!
The firecracker red does scream "look at me!!!" truth be told, I wanted the stingray but wifey said she wanted red...once I saw the red in person, I was sold.
