if you must have that specific Jeep as you configured, order it. That is your best way.

but, if you want to save some money, there are folks on here saying that they are finding deals for 2020 models on the lot for 13% off MSRP. That is fantastic. Consider if there is a “reasonably closely configured” model to what you want on the lot, I would definitely try to make it work and negotiate the crap out of it..... you might find the money saved more valuable that the options lost.

Thank you, I will talk to him,
And I noticed your Wrangler comes with 2.0T engine,
How's your opinion of this engine, like the fuel economy and turbo lag?
Owned a TJ, JK and now a JL. I test drove a LOT of JLs before ordering. I have a '19 Rubicon with the 2.0 eTorque. I love it! I love the flat torque curve. The extra torque is VERY noticeable. It's sportier feeling, more fun to me. No right or wrong, just what driving dynamics you prefer. Personally I would order the same engine again. Actually I would not mind trying a diesel but my driving habits are a very poor match for it.

I would just order if I were you. Jason's prices are among the most competitive in the nation. You are fortunate you are in Chicago. No time and travel needed to get one of the most competitive price in the nation. No BS, no crazy high doc fees, no gimmick financing or backend products for the best price. You can always send a email to every dealer in the area to confirm his prices are the best. Personally I can only think of 2-3 other dealers in the entire nation that are as competitive. More importantly, he has very high integrity. He has a lot of very loyal customers as a result. Last year he was the nations 2nd highest volume salesman for FCA out of something like 12K-15K salespeople You don't sell that many cars unless you are doing something right. You are lucky he's local to you.

I herd Jason's dealer has over a dozen orders placed for new Wranglers that are waiting for the factory to open back up. It will be interesting to see how long it takes for dealers here in Chicago to get vehicles once the factory opens? Some of the wait depends on how fast the factory can load trucks with enough vehicles before laving the plant. Chicago is close and a lot of Wranglers are delivered here. Deliveries to Chicago should not take too long. I ordered my '19 last Feb and it only took 11 days from order to delivery! That's probably not the norm but it happens.

I would take time and test drive as many different Wranglers as possible to see what you prefer. Have fun!

Isn't 13% off MSRP about the same as 6% off invoice? That seems more like a solid, prepandemic deal. Good, but certainly not a fire sale.

BTW, I totally agree with your advice to custom order. Heck, even the Jeep execs we're talking up ordering when they were on Monday's call - and, they have an existing inventory to move.

I think that I recall that 6% off invoice is more like 10% off MSRP but I may very well be wrong — I haven’t done the math in many months.

I just got a 2020 loaded Rubicon for 13% off MSRP. I had a trade in, but they hit KBB value pretty close to mid value. I think its probably a great time to get into something new before the economy gets a better idea of when its going to start working again. If you have a trade in, more so. maybe event to late, as ive now been seeing articles abut how dealerships are having trouble moving used inventory as well.

It depends on invoice and how loaded it is.

I'd order. It's bound to be completed before a 2-door Willys is delivered for dealer stock. [keep in mind that the factory is closed in any case] I am also a 2-door guy, but 90% of owners have 4-doors, so it will make the arrival of a 2-door even more unlikely. Plus, if you order, you'll get it exactly as you want. Buying off the lot usually includes one or more options you don't want - eliminating some (all?) of your savings.

You won't be sorry for ordering.
Finding a exact 2-door will be more difficult then finding a Unlimited. Sold orders get priority and will be built first once the factory opened back up.

I have my eye on 5 willy sports in 2 door configuration. Prices keep coming down. Currently just over 28,400 which is already a pretty decent buy with MSRP around 35k. I want bare bones; manual windows, soft top, and AC lol. Plan on having AEV build it up with all their magical parts. 2” spacer lift and 35s. 37s will be a bit much for what I want out of this rig. Here’s to price watching!

At around 20% off of MSRP, I wouldn't watch much longer if it's what you want.

Are those 8-speed automatics or manuals?

Hi guys, I just get the OTD from one of a dealer in IL and need some advice. So, this is a well- equipped Willys 2D, and it has stayed in the lot for approximately 4 months, I know right now we have the employee price, and a midwest bonus $500, and I pretty sure I am gonna negotiate the price, just don't how much price can be defined as a great deal. Hope someone could provide some idea, Thanks!

Unfortunately I don’t know enough to help you, but are you willing to comment on which dealer you’re using and your experience with them? Also, this is the first I’ve heard of $500 Midwest incentive, can you elaborate?! Thank you..

Dealer's name is Wickerstorm, haven't done any test drive. we only discuss this through email and text. Btw, the sales give me 42 grand last month. However, this month's price is getting higher. As for the midwest discount, I found it on the jeep website.
I will pay cash and no trade-in. Also, Someone mentioned about 20% off MSRP. is it possible I could get 20% off MSRP?
