Well, I finally got the Software Update screen. At 23:39.

I try to schedule it for 23:49 or 23:59 but it doesn’t seem to stick.

So I set it for 00:10 and will see if it gets installed.

The Jeep will be off and locked.

Since the screen doesn’t give instructions.

So I guess that’ll work. I hope.

Well I dozed off, got up at 01:00, went out and checked, its updated. The Jeep was totally off when the update kicked in. Reverse camera with lines are back to normal.

My GPS stopped working about 6 months ago. Brought it to the dealer and they said the Uconnect needed an update. Then they told me the system crashed about halfway through the update install and the only fix was to replace the entire radio. Said it would take a few days to get the new radio. A few days turned into a few weeks, then six weeks went by before the new radio arrived. Haven’t checked the software version but everything works so I don’t see any reason to do anything else at this time. Hope no one else has the same problem while updating.

I got my replacement in 4 weeks… it’s been rock solid, and I actually don’t want this 39.x update. The 34.x version I have works fine.

I didn't check to see, but does the new update make any updates to the dated factory navigation?

My map still shows 202006.

The map updates are from a different company and never get updated with UConnect OTA updates. You actually have to pay extra to update the maps.

Yep, like all other vehicle makers. I checked and didn’t see a map update.

EDIT: there *is* an update, BUT it is for the same version I have already.

The map updates are from a different company and never get updated with UConnect OTA updates. You actually have to pay extra to update the maps.

I would pay for an updated GUI for the the maps in uConnect 5. It looks so much better. I think the GPS is by far the most dated thing in uConnect 4.
