So the Uconnect app is poorly designed, and my free trial is expiring. Haven’t looked recently but I think it is something like $30/month to continue. Not happening. Is there an aftermarket provider that is worth getting? I’m assuming all of them require a subscription if you want to use an app on phone?

And maybe someone from the Jeep development team should buy a ford. App is free, tells you how long vehicle will run for, can extend run time, much faster response time, etc

Curious as to why you sent a screenshot for a Ford truck?

Because it actually works?
Maybe. But then you have to own a Ford. Try entering you Jeep VIN into the Ford app. Then you could have the best of both worlds.

In addition to the Jeep, I obviously do have a Ford, but also a
Ram and a Subaru. I’m not brand loyal, just like things that work.

Then, brother, you might just be in the wrong place... :)

Yeah I would not pay for the Uconnect app it is pretty bad. Mine doesn't even start the Jeep anymore just fails most times. Mine ends in Feb and will not pay for a subscription. Especially at the price they want for it.

Have you tried the new Jeep app? The remote service was added into it. Still doesn't work but maybe you would have better luck.

I'm confused that the app tells you how long the vehicle runs for and you can extend the run time. What's that mean? You add more coins to the app and your vehicle runs longer?

For reference, start Jeep with Uconnect app and if it is successful it will run for 10 mins then quit. At which point you can try again.
Start ford with app, it will run 15 mins, tell you it’s running, and you can add 15 mins run time. No coins required.

I agree that the Ford app is far better and requires no paid subscriptions for remote functions. I don't use the Uconnect app and won't pay a monthy subscription for something I'll only use occasionally.

I just tried installing the Jeep app, as suggested above. Entered my VIN and it somehow decided that my 2022 is a 2020 model and says the vehicle can't be added to my account "Call an agent"

I had no idea the Udon’tConnect was on a free trial. It is absolute garbage compared to the Ford app and there is no chance in hell I would pay for it. How long is the free trial?

Wasn’t even conscious of the app although I guess I downloaded it when I took delivery about 10 months ago. Just logged on for the first time tonight… meh. No way I would pay for it.

I'm not pleased with Uconnect either.. its soo slow.. just getting an update or stop / start charging, check location etc.. takes forever! Hopefully this can be improved in the future to be more responsive..
