  1. Accidentally used 5W-20

I would recommend just draining it out and refilling it with the correct oil. Not the end of the world though!
  2. 35" Tires on stock Sport S without lift?

Gotcha! I appreciate your input and this has definitely helped my decision to full send it. I wouldn't say it is an immediate, but it will definitely be within the couple of months after I get the tires :)
  3. 35" Tires on stock Sport S without lift?

Nitto Ridge Grappler's. I mostly do fire roads so not much flexing done anyways. I will eventually get a lift, I just want to see if the tires will fit pre-lift :D
  4. 35" Tires on stock Sport S without lift?

Hi Everyone! I tried looking through existing forums but could not find anything that would answer my question. It is about time to get new tires soon and I am looking at the Nitto Ridge Grapplers, and going with an interesting size of 35x11.50r 17. I have the stock 17" wheels that came with the...
  5. What's wrong with these lease numbers...

Not sure if I missed it, or scimmed it. Did you factor in that all leases (including one pays) have a money factor?
  6. Northern California camping?

Mendocino National Forest is great. Napa has a trail called Knoxville OHV. Indian Valley Reservoir. Look up on AllTrails and OnX (if you want to pay an arm and a leg)
  7. California WTB 18-23 OEM rear steel bumper

I have been looking for one too...everyone wants like $2k for them
  8. I got handbrake wrong all these years

I usually set it after shifting to P but before I lift my foot off the regular brake...wonder how that sequence works
  9. Sport 4wd issue

Hopefully the T-case isn't busted from the previous owner not shifting it correctly. I feel that is worst case scenario. 4Hi should just be a simple straight down motion. If it goes off to the right and down, then it will be in Neutral. You mentioned it goes into Neutral easy. Usually for...
  10. Weird "chirp" after every stop/start when hitting the brakes

MY brakes chirp when I hit them at low speeds. Dealer said it needs some lube and it's good to go, but still have not had it fixed. I have heard that chirp from the auto stop/start from mine too and thought it sounded pretty normal, especially after the engine is on for a long period of time...
  11. Transfer case nearly unusable

^ also clunking is typically normal as you shift, and as you get the hang of shifting it, it'll reduce.
  12. Transfer case nearly unusable

Typically to put it into "N" you can leave your engine on, throw the transmission into neutral and crawl about 1-2 mph. This will allow for an easier transition
  13. Happy 4th of July! How many of you are military veterans?

Not me, but my grandfather served in the Navy for 6 years; not sure which years. He just recently passed in April at 92 years old.
  14. Pixeldecal FINALLY showed up

Well worth the wait for them. My stickers are still hanging on after 2 years, and have survived through tree branches scratching them up. No signs of peeling, no fading.
  15. NorCal Wheeling, Camping, Recovery

Going up to Mendocino; entering through Potter Valley, going to Lake Pillsbury and camping there the first day; next day going to Stonyford (seeing how far we get if we don't make it all the way there); then finding a third camp spot for the last day! Any other suggestions?
  16. Maximize 3.6 Reliability

That would be me. Fortunately no I don’t let them screw me over hence the research I do when they feed me said Kool Aid
  17. Maximize 3.6 Reliability

Absolutely! That’s why I always do my own research when they give me any type of info.
  18. Maximize 3.6 Reliability

Not too sure. I work at a Jeep dealer but I’m on the sales side, so service isn’t much of what I know. My service advisor just gave me the printout, and have been trying to do some research myself. That does sound about right though for the turbo engine.
  19. Maximize 3.6 Reliability

Following. The dealer gave me a list of good, better, best for the 30k mile service, and in that was like a walnut-type blast through the manifold. I am thinking that is going to be the best thing to do every 30k miles. Keeping spark plugs fresh by changing at 60k miles. make sure to inspect...
  20. Cheapest to insure??

Insurance dropped when I bought my Wrangler Sport S and replaced my 2009 GTI
