I've got a Snazzberry JLU Sport (Altitude) that has all black trim (no chrome or silver). It came with black tow hooks, but as I'm switching out the OEM front plastic bumper with a steel Rubicon take-off, I'm considering switching out the red Rubicon hooks for some gold/bronze 392 take-off hooks. My question is, does the Jeep community frown on switching tow hook colors, since they are clearly (originally) associated with a particular model? I'm not wanting to try and pass off my sport as a 392.... I just like how the gold would accent my color scheme.
Thoughts?

The only thing reliably frowned upon in this forum is the frowny aftermarket grill. Otherwise, what you like best for your Wrangler is the correct answer. ?

I blacked out everything on my Rubicon because I think the red accents look dumb. Do what you think looks good!

We have red hooks on our Snazzberry WIllys, and red shackles. We both like the look, i't's easy to see and use which is the point, and we could give two previously mentioned f@@ks what other people think!

I put Gladiator Mojave orange hooks (front and back) on my Hydro Sahara Wrangler because it looks awesome and I love it.

WTF cares what someone else thinks about YOUR Jeep. Do what makes you happy man.

Bronze hooks on a Snazzberry would look sick.

Jeep should offer a blackout package, separate from color. I'd have easily gone Rubicon instead of Sahara if I could've paid ~$300 for a blackout kit. They have the parts, take our money.

I'd have paid $300 to get rid of the red dash/stitching alone TBH.

Yeah I’d have done that for sure. I even got the tan leather interior JUST so I didn’t have the ridiculous red dash inside.

Gold hook away, it’s not frowned upon. Lots of people do it on their rigs when the color scheme clashes with red.

I put the bronze rubicon decals because the red outline on the red body makes the font look smaller

iv seen a ton of sarge green rubis with gold hooks because people don’t want red and green Christmas jeeps

Man I hemmed and hawed (Hydro + tan would look good) but I've had bad experiences with light interiors in the past. Wish they'd have a saddle leather option like Ford's King Ranch trim.

But it's have been $2k for the tan leather, then another $2k for Katskinz to put it back to black. Just dropped down to Sahara Altitude instead. Kinda been turning it into a Saharicon with take-offs anyways.

Who cares what others think!? On the other hand, there is no way I’m giving you a duck. ?
