It always amazes me which threads generate the most comments on this forum.

I color matched mine Snazzberry until I changed bumpers and ended up using the Rubi reds. Choice is ultimately yours.I've got a Snazzberry JLU Sport (Altitude) that has all black trim (no chrome or silver). It came with black tow hooks, but as I'm switching out the OEM front plastic bumper with a steel Rubicon take-off, I'm considering switching out the red Rubicon hooks for some gold/bronze 392 take-off hooks. My question is, does the Jeep community frown on switching tow hook colors, since they are clearly (originally) associated with a particular model? I'm not wanting to try and pass off my sport as a 392.... I just like how the gold would accent my color scheme.
Thoughts?
Yup. I can’t wait for the thread about valve stem cap colours to start. It always amazes me which threads generate the most comments on this forum.
It’s your Jeep. You like it you do it. You are always gonna have somebody say that‘s not right or something, no matter what you do. Only you have to like it.I've got a Snazzberry JLU Sport (Altitude) that has all black trim (no chrome or silver). Don’t want a Moab then. It’s not for me.+ Selec-Trac, rear D44 with LSD, Rubicon hood and rock rails, color-matched hardtop, and I believe they all came standard with the V6, automatic transmission and leather seats.
And yet you have a red Factor 55 winch hook . . . HmmmmmmmI switched my towhooks to all black along with bumper, hoop etc?

UNACCEPTABLE!!! If you’re gonna do Black Accents do Everything!!…… from someone who spent hours obsessing and searching for acceptable ones down to the aforementioned valve stem caps. ? ? And we can’t see his lug nuts, HmmmmmmAnd yet you have a red Factor 55 winch hook . . . Hmmmmmmm
I wouldn’t care what the “Jeep Community“ thinks. It’s your jeep…if you wanna change out the tow hooks, do it.I've got a Snazzberry JLU Sport (Altitude) that has all black trim (no chrome or silver). Yeah I’d have done that for sure. I even got the tan leather interior JUST so I didn’t have the ridiculous red dash inside.
O’reilly can color match and give it to you in a spray can! That’s what i did.Probably wouldn't cost too much for a body shop to paint match them. Or powder coater if you wanted to go that route.
I see no issue whatsoever with putting gold tow hooks on your jeep. What does annoy me is when I see an obviously-V6 or I-4 Mustang with all the stickers and paint scheme to make it look like a Shelby. Like, dude who are you trying to fool? She’s gonna find out you’re broke quickly enough anyway.
The Moab came out in 2019 or end of 2018? I remembered when they first released it and I was in love. I NEVER see them in my city though. I think I’ve only seen one here.Aldo,
He may not know MOABs or the targeted build. MOABs also had the Rubicon Suspension and were consider top of the line (if I remember correctly the MOAB was an 11k package). When I was researching mine for purchase it was valued over the Rubicon model by KBB. But that’s not why I bought one. I bought it because it checked every box for my needs and I’m so glad I did.
No matter, people that bought them know exactly what they have!
Aside from that and back to the point here, they don’t have any of the “Rubicon red”, including the tow hooks, dash, etc. The original post that I responded to, was wishing those items were black, and on the MOAB they are…
Voila! Let’s get it going! ???Yup. I can’t wait for the thread about valve stem cap colours to start.
Certainly nothing new— GTO badging on Tempests since 64, GT 350 striping on Mustangs since 65, Big Block hoods on small block Corvettes since 65, SS badging on everything Chevy, there is even a Dodge PU in town with SRT 10 everything, Except a V10.?? SAVAGE! Lol

Well the “Jeep Community“ thinks you have a frikin good looking Jeep. I almost went with that color.I wouldn’t care what the “Jeep Community“ thinks. It’s your jeep…if you wanna change out the tow hooks, do it.
I have a mojito and I replaced my plastic bumper with a steel rubicon bumper. But it had red tow hooks…So, I got my Jeep shop to paint them for me lol.
IDC what anyone says…those hooks needed to be mojito green on my Jeep…periodtt! ?. Wasnt having it ANY OTHER WAY.
