I just purchased the wrangler sport s with the tow package, but I'm lost when it comes to hooking up my jeep behind my motor home. The jeep has the plugs in the rear to hook up the lights if your towing something, but I want to hook up my lights for my jeep to be towed.
Dealership was not much help. They showed me a cable next to the fuse box with four wires, and said start here. Can anyone please help me ?

The factory tow package is for towing WITH the Jeep, not towing THE Jeep. The plugs in back are for a trailer, the wires under the hood next to the fuse box is for the AUX switches. (I.e. additional lighting, winch, etc)

You'll need an aftermarket harness to hook up your Jeep for flat towing behind an RV

I’d check out threads like this.

You’ll want something like a Blue Ox tow bar.

The thread above is a great place to start looking for info, but just incase it looks overwhelming, what you really need can be simply stated as the following:
  1. A tow bar that will connect to your RV to let you tow your jeep
  2. A baseplate added to your jeep which is where the tow bar in step 1 will connect to
  3. A brake system added to your jeep (this can either be a temporary install or a built-in one, but you need something that will apply your jeep brakes while it is being towed
  4. an electrical harness so that your Jeep running, turn, and brake lights can be connected to your RV to replicate your RV lights.
There are many options for each of the four steps - do some research and you will find plenty of choices. Blue Ox is a very popular choice - look at their web site for lots of info.

I noticed today that a forum member is selling a complete flat tow setup in the miscellaneous member marketplace. That could give you an idea on what you need.
