Thanks to all the of Jediruph’s posts and a very kind live phone call from Rheinbeck, I am back in business. I was able to confirm that the Aux battery is dead. Using a voltmeter with a very rudimentary load tester, the Aux battery voltage measured at 12 but dropped almost instantly to 2 with...
I initially posted this in electronics, but after some searching and reading, this seems to be the place to post it. I also have additional information from my original post.

I have a 2018 JL 3.6L that we use as a toad behind a motorhome. While driving the Jeep today, it would not start after the ESS shut the engine down at a stop. I had all kinds of error message and check engine lights. I was able to get it started with a jump from another vehicle. We were close to...
Not that it matters too much, but there are actually 2 clicks when you turn the right dimmer control all the way up. The first position restores the brightness of the displays to "daytime" mode, and the final click also turns on the overheard dome light.
Don (from Discount Tire),
Thanks so much for your quick response to this. I am all set up with my local Discount Tire store - order has already been placed.
Thanks for the great service and the best prices - much appreciated. A real pleasure doing business with Discount Tire.
Hey Discount Tire - seems like you are the go to guys for tires. Can you give me a quote for 4 x Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V2 255/70-18 for my JL. Just picked up some spare wheels and am looking to put a set of winter wheels together. I am in Reno, NV - 89511. Thanks.
Moonpup - I just tried my radio ID to see if it worked - same issue as you - the web site reports it as invalid. I will be following to see if you can get any info to fix this issue.
You should be able to find your radio Unit ID by going into "Dealer Mode" on the 8.4 system. To do this, hold driver up and down temp controls and the front defrost control for about 5 seconds until you see the Dealer screen appear, Then select 'System Info" and then you will see the Radio Part...
Mine does that occasionally - a quick fix that has always worked for me is to select another option on the display (like Radio or Climate) and then go back to Navigation - comes right up every time if I do that.
No, it does not need to be left in the Jeep. If you follow the instructions in the manual for flat towing, you end up with the ignition in the OFF position. The JL does not have any type of steering lock and the key fob does not need to remain in the vehicle - I have flat towed my JLU many times...
I am looking to buy a spare set of 5 wheels to turn into winter wheels. I have a 2018 JL Saharas Unlimited, but do not necessarily need Sahara wheels - either 17" or 18" would work for me. Ideally, I also want the TMPS sensors. I am not interested in tires, unless they are true snow/ice tires...
We purchased our 2018 JLUS primarily because we needed a vehicle to tow behind our RV from time to time. The other car in our garage is a BMW X5. We have our choice of the two when we go out for a drive - without fail, both my wife and I choose the JLUS as a daily drive. Can't explain it 100%...
My JLUS also has that foam (see picture). Pretty sure this IS NOT shipping foam and is there to provide weather and noise sealing for the doors. I would not remove it.
