Maybe it's just the angle of the pics but it almost looks like your Racor needs to move forward about 1.5-2 feet so that you have room to back up to the point where the back edge of the Racor is right about the hinge area of the top. Or is it just an illusion and you have the room to back up that much further than is shown in the picture?

It’s close lol! Will find out when I get my Topsy brackets. I wanted it as far back as I could get it. I hope I left enough room. I can def go back much further than what the picture shows

Small note- you have to compensate for the rear tire. Though you can raise it up, make sure it clears the spare tire so you can drive out.

I’m hoping Topsy brackets are available to order tomorrow. Would love to have it all set up this weekend. Luckily it’s suoposed to rain all week so no big deal for a few more days

They ran out of red last week. I was told by email yesterday that in a day or two they would have the site ready to order the black. So I’m really hoping tomorrow

Ooooo- I have a project this weekend! I’ll let everyone know how this goes. First impressions? MUCH better choice. Solid metal, nice finish, certainly an upgrade.

I’ll post pics with install and results soon...

It’s a replacement for a plastic part on the racor lift. Not necessary but does give a little extra strength from failure
