  1. Best roof hoist 18-19 JLU

Many including myself are using a RACOR heavy lift, which isn't specifically a jeep top thing, but it works incredibly well, especially when paired with topsy brackets. http://www.racorstoragesolutions.com/p/detail/phl-1r?AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1...
  2. Lift is on (Question about steering and spare tire)

I got the Rough Country tire relocation and the reinforcement brackets for pretty cheap. I feel a bit of sag in my tailgate when I close it, but when it's latched, it all feels rock solid and at a good price.
  3. Best steering stabilizers so far?

Thanks. That being said, if we're at the same height as tie rod, which feels pretty low anyway, the stabilizer may be more likely to be damaged than if relocated, but if you were damaging the stabilizer, even if it wasn't there, you'd be hitting your tie rod, right? Am I missing something, or is...
  4. Best steering stabilizers so far?

I'm not all that off road experienced yet. Can you expand on this?
  5. St. Louis MO

Make sure if you are going to do it yourself, you learn from what I had...I was planning on going to it myself, however, my jack wasn't rated high enough and lacked height, and my 3 ton stands didn't go high enough either. If you want to do it, make sure you have some 6 ton stands!
  6. Talking on the phone with the top down

I'm not sure if you have a sunshade, but since installing mine, it's wild how much quieter it is with the top off. Maybe worth looking at. Not going to get rid of all noise on your mic or anything, but you can at least hear and handle your business.
  7. Alien Sunshade Review

Hardly stops it at all. I backed out of garage to just turn it around to put the hardtop back on while raining. It felt like the water came through the mesh with no struggle. Maybe in motion with wind helping to blow it back, but at slow speeds, you're getting very wet.
  8. Alien Sunshade Review

I took my windshield down instead of using the tool included, and so far, things have been fine. I don't know if the clips don't get as torqued when doing it this way, but if they fail, I'll move to the windshield bolts. I'm also using the long bungie for the front and back shared, and whoever...

  10. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Finally got my spline adapter for my lugs, and now I have the new wheels and tires installed! That's Black Rhino Sidewinders 17x9 and Kumho Road Venture M/T 315/70r17. This is basically exactly the stance I was hoping for. The lift is a 2.5" RC budget boost.
  11. St. Louis MO

To those that offered to help with the lift, thank you. I actually had it done at Tire Bargains in High Ridge. I wanted to do this myself, however, I realized my 4 3 ton jack stands were not tall enough, and my floor jack had height restrictions too. Considering they charged me $350 to install...
  12. What is this called and how can I get accessories for it?

I'm likely going to get this when I get around to adding some lights: https://www.roughcountry.com/mlc6-multiple-light-controller-7096c.html
  13. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Got my wheels/tires from discount tire. Everything looks great, and the 315 look huge compared to stock, but I didn't get the spline lug adapter, so I got the first wheel on bit not tightened. They are overnighting a new tool, but I'm out of commission for the moment. Either way, I'm excited!
  14. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Installed kentrol delrin hinge liners this evening. Seeing how easy doors went back in and the screws threaded, it was a great choice.
  15. Does the JL have Fuel Warning Light?

Mine has only come on once, with about 30 miles left on range. It took about 19 gallons.
  16. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Got my RC 2.5" budget boost installed. I had planned on doing this myself, but I realized my floor jack was undersized/rated, and my jack stands were 3 ton and too short, so with all the stuff I was going to have to buy to get it done, a local tire shop was able to do it for not much more. I...
  17. New Jeep Owner

I'm obviously no expert, but I think the overwhelming consensus is that aftermarket parts are ok and will not void warranty unless they directly lead to the failure of other parts. So for example, if your lift was the direct result for a failure of something different, that may not be covered...
  18. RC 2.5" Budget Boost Install Question

Thanks man, I know I have 2 3 ton stands, need to check on the others that I'm borrowing.
  19. RC 2.5" Budget Boost Install Question

Can you clarify what you mean by using the rear swaybar end links on the front? I don't see that mentioned in the install instructions. I'm not quite following. Either way, thanks for measuring for me, that's a big help!
