Anyone know why my 25 sport won’t turn off the TPMS light even though tire pressures have been set?

its been a long while since I looked at tpms. but I thought there was a lower limit you adjust that is what turns on the tpms light, but then to get them off you have to fill above an upper limit, and I think factory is 36. I think you can adjust that too, I just dont remember exactly.

Is it possible to make the TPMS to display each tire temperature, not just pressure?

Thanks guys. I adjusted the max inflation and expected it to just be gone. Then I was like well I probably need to adjust the low inflation because I run at 27psi on the MTBBATs so I set the max to 30 and the low to 20 drove about 6 miles and it went off.

Wild thing happened today on my way into work. The jeep threw a clutch hot warning and then went into limp mode on a sketchy up hill corner of the 5 freeway in tukwila/seatac. I turned off the jeep and let it sit for 15 minutes and tried to scan it with JScan and the OBD elm2 app and neither one came up with a DTC. All parameters were good according to the scans. CEL was on and service transmission was on the EVIC. I had to limp the jeep the last 8 miles of my commute at 40mph in the slow lane on the 5 during rush hour. It was sketchy. But I made it. And after some research I found a thread on here that showed me how to get it out of limp mode! I’m super thankful for that thread! I went to
Adaptations>>>vehicle maintenance>>>PCM clutch replacement EEPROM reset procedure then followed the prompts. In there you will see that it is used for resetting the stored PCM clutch over temperature and slip detection counters.

It worked like a charm for me! I have an app set for Wednesday to have the clutch update done so this doesn’t happen again.

ive had service transmission message pop up like 5 times, but never had full on limp mode, definitely sounds sketchy. so I never needed to do that reset. it turned out my battery needed to be replaced and ive not had the service transmission message pop up for over 6 months now.

It was one of those things like “it’s never going to happen to me” and then it did. I’m really glad I had the JScan or I’d be out my jeep until the dealership is finished with it. And I have a trip planned for tomorrow that I was really bummed I was going to miss until I found that thread.

JScan came in really handy when FlashCal screwed up the auto headlight settings. When I got my JL and upgraded to LEDs, I used FlashCal to change the headlight type from incandescent to LED. Apparently that corrupted something and broke the auto headlight feature, where it would turn on automatically when it's dark, but upon entering a bright area it wouldn't automatically turn off. The headlight would just remain on unless forced off using the dial switch, or if I restarted the vehicle. It stayed that way for a few years because I didn't know what was going on.

Then, one day, after purchasing license for JScan, I used it to access the auto headlight settings, where I saw a bunch of weird numbers that didn't match what they were supposed to be. Instead of voltage ranges, it was just some random numbers. I switched them to default values using JScan and that resolved the issue.

am curious has anyone ever done either of these 2 functions in jscan with manual transmission? curious why you would do them and what they do for you, like why it helps...

You can perform a forced regen on the DPF of an EcoDiesel.

BTW, the panic alarm is mentioned numerous times. What is the beef there? It seems like an innoculous function that sits quietly/idly by in case it's ever needed. I've had six Wranglers and I'm not sure that I've ever heard it. Are you somehow butt-activating it?

I also used it to change fender DRL from white to amber. Makes the jeep much more visible on the road IMO. Think you need to have LEDs though.

It never fails, I'm in an awkward position using both hands to do something or hold something and my thigh pushes against something and sets of the stupid thing. I've had it start going off pulling my work keys from my pocket. I just turned that off when I set my new tire size and I will not miss it one bit. I have never on any vehicle pushed that button on purpose, and I won't miss the option now.
