So I finally after going out to my jeep 4 different times and spending 10+ mins most times finally fucking got the

Started poking around in the JSCAN app and I came across this for a couple of the modules (still figuring the app out).

Does this mean I need to get a different obd2 Bluetooth thing?? Is anyone able to help me figure out the difference between the ones mentioned in the picture below or what feature-set I need to look for to be able to use these modules?

Edit: This is the one I have right now

JSCAN has a list of both recommended and approved OBD modules. I use the OBD Link MX+ and have never had an issue.

The picture you posted seems to indicate that your module is not compatible.

Just went to the JScan website and looked at the list of "supported/compatible" adapters and the iCarPro is one of the first ones listed.

Edit: just had a second closer look and looked at what vehicles they recommend each for and apparently they only recommend it for the JK/WK/WK2 among some other non wrangler vehicles.

But weirdly enough I'm seeing people on the forum who used the iCar pro..... fuck if I know what is going on here.

What are you trying to adjust? I have the i-Car Vgate and it has done anything I need to change, tire size, gear ratio, tpms, proximity locks, HVAC control, heated seats and a few others I’m sure I forgot.

Some things you really shouldn’t mess with as they may have unintended consequences.

Nothing specific, I was just trying to poke around in the settings and try to figure out what was what, and was confused as to what the pop up I got around a few different settings said.
I know you’re frustrated and probably not wanting to spend more money but I bought this one for about $60.

Used JSCAN for the first time this week with this device.
Yeah, that's actually more like $75 CAD, so I'll think about it. I just spent $77 USD including shipping on getting a SGW extension cable the other day, so I'm thinking about it. I'm kinda also at a point where I may just get a tazer mini...... But they've gone up a lot in price here, from about $400 CAD to $500 CAD.......

That section of JScan really doesn’t have anything you can change it just displays the original VIN in the module and the part number and the variant
Jeep Wrangler JL OBD2 Bluetooth Adapter for JScan D24E6008-61F7-4C4A-AE9E-3D39B04E88A6

In my case I have changed the radio, dash cluster and the HVAC control so it shows the original VIN and the current VIN.
Gregj

that is from the Demo in JScan. Tazers are cool if you like the “Live” functions.

Directly from talking with JScan personel
(OBD adapter must be a vLinker MC+ or OBD Link MX+ for 2018+ vehicles to get full functionality)
I'm using the vLinker MC+ on my 24 with the 12+8 cable to bypass the secure gateway and the extension cables from Tazer so I don;t have to try and get my hand back up in there!

I have the extension cables on order and am currently waiting on delivery. It took me 3 different attempts to get those fuckers loose, and I never wanna do it again if I have to.

Yeah, I saw that. I found the vlinker & OBD Link on amazon and they're $80-100 CAD. I'm mulling over forking over the cash for them. Not super keen on it at the moment....

I have only done the initial change I do want to play around and see if I change to a taller tire if I like the RPM it shifts at better. It seems to hold gears a long time and I would like to have it upshift a little quicker meaning lower RPM. So far so good though

ok. After reading through this thread - I am assuming you can use these devices to monitor live data? I was looking for something that could monitor the mechanical and electrical system while driving.
