Top uses for JScan

You can also put the jeep in 4h push the off road +button hold down the traction control off button for 3 seconds until the evic reads esc disable and the rear locker will lock without JScan or Tazer.

One caveat: I think this was only added in ‘21 in the JL. Model years prior to that don’t have an offroad+ button.

I spent some time futzing with it on mine and discovered you also have to be going slower than 18mph or whatever the speed threshold is that your swaybar will reconnect.

The primary reason I got JScan was to do an ABS bleed. I even got the brake fluid but the dang thing still hasn’t bled the jeep for me yet.

i have jscan but haven’t used in what feels like forever. when you use it to disable start/stop, is there still an avenger light on the dash?

Mine is a 21. I didn’t know prior jls didn’t have off road +. I got the JScan because it can do a forced regen and I thought that was pretty inexpensive insurance for troubleshooting if needed.

Tire size, fog light drop out... I tried disabling the triple honk but have been unsuccessful.

I have done tire size, tpms threshold, highbeam dropout. I wish it could disable 3 honks.

I used it to eliminate the fog light dropout when switching to high beams. In addition, the factory vehicle alarm does not include the hood switch so I enabled that as well (the alarm goes off now if you open the hood when the Jeep is locked)

I havent done hood alarm, I wonder if I even can. I got manual locks. may I ask where you go to activate hood switch to the alarm?

How to Engage the Rear Locker in 4-High

1. Shift into 4-High: Move your transfer case into 4H.
2. Activate Off-Road Plus: Press the Off-Road+ button on your dashboard.
3. Turn Off ESC (Electronic Stability Control): Press and hold the Traction Control/ESC button for about 5 seconds until it dings and the instrument cluster indicates that stability control is fully off.
4. Lock the Rear Axle: Press down on your axle lock toggle switch. The light will flash momentarily and turn solid when fully engaged.

That’s what I meant when I mentioned I was disappointed in my first post. I got the avenger light to go away, but as it turns out, the ESS still functions even though it is disabled in the software. There may be something I missed or misunderstood, but I went ahead and bought the eliminator and that finally did the trick. Something to do with how the hardware is configured vs the software. I was happy to use it to get rid of the light. My primary reason for getting JScan was my tire size so everything else is an experiment.

What Bluetooth adapter are you guys using? There are several to choose from and different price points. I have JScan but haven't used it yet due to not knowing which adapter I want. Love all these options and need to do some of these. Thanks.
