The last time (last weekend) we went wheeling, one of the guys removed two of my deflators and spun the collars, rendering my 12 pound setting useless. Now I have to reset them. Anything on the Staun that prevents accidental turning of the knob/collar ring?
I tightened my down with Vice Grips after doing that somewhat painful initial adjustment step. I'm also careful to show people what to hold onto when twisting it on and off.

Anyone used a little lock tight?

I wheeled this weekend and one of my Stauns is still off. I've set them all up like 3 or 4 times now and still 3 of them deflated to 15psi and the 4th deflated to 18. It's driving me kind of insane.
Did you try one of the ones that measured the PSI to where you wanted it, on that wheel? My pass rear always reads high on the dash when I am at lower pressures. I have mine all set to 16 and 3 read 16 and my pass rear reads 19. It funny, they all read even once aired up to 29.

You probably already know this, but make certain the conditions are the same when you check them if you want it to be accurate. One tire in the sun and 3 not in the sun makes a huge difference.

Funny… exactly my situation and numbers!

I scribed a number on the top of each one with an awl. That way if I get a weird reading I can see if it’s the same one having issues. I also tighten them down with pliers and use an air gauge rather than tpms when setting them up.
If I set them at 15 my air gauge will sometimes show 14.5 to 15.5 psi. It’s a pain in the ass and triggers my anal retentiveness trying to recalibrate them. I’m hoping tightening them down with pliers and using the Skog chuck mates will eliminate accidentally changing the setting.

I didn't check it this time but I have in the past for accuracy. It always rotates which tire is reading wrong which makes me think it's the deflator. I should have marked which one was on the off deflator but I forgot to on Sunday and now they are all mixed together.

I'm trying to go wheeling again this weekend and will figure out which deflator it is and then take it apart and wash it out. I guess worst case I just let 2 PSI out with a tire gauge of whatever tire that deflator lands on.

I tired the Stauns. After 2 hrs of carefully setting them, one stuck open and would’ve completely deflated the tire. I don’t even know where they are anymore. That’s the last time I used them. I completely remove the valve core and know when the sound changes, I’m close. Then I’ll use a tire gauge. When I’m a few psi above. I hurry to put the cores back in and sneak up on the psi I want. It’s probably not the fastest method, but it’s cheap and quick.

I have had mine for awhile now and no issues.

Once I get my engine done, check out my deflators on the next run. I'll help you install some Apex RPVs if you like. You'll never go back to other stuff.

I just watched a few videos. I like how fast they are but I also like with the Stauns that I can put them on and walk away and let them do their thing.

Although I could change my mind after you are aired down in like 30 seconds and I'm still waiting...... ?

Agreed that it's fast and accurate, but it's also a pain in the ass to have to babysit it four friggin times. And, of course, every once in a while you screw up twisting the wrong thing at the wrong time and have to deal with the valve stem coming out.

Stauns are nowhere near as accurate, but they're soooo much easier. They give you a chance to chat with others before starting the trail. Very little babysitting required.
ive been using one of these for years. they can be a pain some times. last time we went wheeling it just did not want to work. a few people gave it a try. the stauns i have werent doing it either (previously they worked fine). @roaniecowpony showed me his Apex stems which worked very well. maybe he sabotaged my stuff in attempts to sway me to go apex idk..

Use SKÖG Chuck Mates so you don't have to screw on and off the Stauns. (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09LZYPCNW/)

They also have a pouch to accommodate the Stauns with attached clips. (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09M8Z4QL7/)
I ordered these based off what others had mentioned on here. Went out West earlier this month and aired down and up quite a bit. The verdict on these Skog's is that they were a complete waste of money. Very slow air out compared to just the deflators on their own (Res-Q). I removed them and the air came out faster.
They do attach as fast as you can push them on but they restricted air flow pretty bad. I will never use them again if anyone is interested, I can mail them.
