as long as we charge taxes on the robots. I'm all for the robots but not at the expense of 10 employees running a factory making 25M$ each. Tax robots like employees.
Governments collect more taxes than they actually need to provide proper services, the more taxes they collect the worse services they provide.

Nope, looking at the current Jeep product I believe it!

Unfortunately this is the state of our country and accepted norm, if someone challenges it they are called all the terms we are not allow to say on this forum,,,,,

Sorry to say our best years are behind us.

When did the Wrangler become the official vehicle of the whiny, butthurt, "eVeRytHinG sUcKs" -clan?
I guess it was right around the same time when the union workers started crying that they aren't making enough money to buy a $100,000 vehicle they are forced to build.

Or was it when tax payers are constantly forced to keep bailing out their companies, and subsidizing their wages.

That's an old video 2012, why is it even here?. I remember it, and those employees were met with consequences. However, other than the drinking (was it alcohol?) and smoking, most working folks do not wear safety gear during a break unless they are in an area which requires it.

You mean Chrysler was met with consequences for trying to fire the employees caught drinking and smoking pot during their lunchbreak.

That was 2012, so they most likely got promotions, and raises as per union rules.

None of that makes any sense.

The guy stirring up stuff that said “the government spent a lot of money bailing you guys out”. Either this video is really old or it is likely those guys were not even building cars back in 2008. He is right up there with the jerks that like to tell cops “l pay your salary”.
How would you feel about Boeing or Airbus assembly mechanics or engineers doing that?

"Tax the robots" brilliant! Who would pay that tax? The automobile manufacturer, who would then pass that expense on to the consumer.... great idea! ?
okay... but right now, the plant pays humans to do the work. if they would pay only 50% of what they pay in salary in taxes for every employee fired, they would still save money, and save on benefits too. So no, they would not have to swing the tax to the buyers. Worst, right now they are replacing workers with robots while still increasing prices for the goods delivered. Then, our nice government gave them a great permanent tax break.

How about the employees work efficiently enough that the company cannot justify the millions and millions of dollars in R&D to make machines to replace them?

At what rate? 50%? Let's say we tax the robots half of what they make a year, so $0 x .5. Think of all the good that could be done with all that cash by the responsible governments!!
Exactly, plus I bet the tax would get pushed back as price increases...
We already get our $$ taxed
Pay for an expensive vehicle and pay more taxes
And at the end of the year ... have more fun doing taxes
Seems we already get taxed... over and over.
