I realized I forgot some things, some of which my favorite upgrades:
- @NXTGENAutomotive rock rail mounted and removable steps. Those were a game changer for my wife and I’ve rarely come across such a high quality product.
- Quadratec Baja HD fender flares. While some might consider them flimsy, I consider them malleable lol

It looks like a toy car from Dollar General in those pictures. You know those cars I have a giant tires on them?

I like it.
I got so offended by this comment that I decided to slap on some 37s. Or at least it gave me enough of an excuse.

thanks to @Wabujitsu thread on the Toyo RT Pros. Made it easier for me to decide and put those on as well.

Looks good! I'm curious why you removed the fender liners. I'd be worried about mud getting into places that are impossible to clean out.

The vehicle (2025 Rubicon XR) didn’t come with fender liners. The rear doesn’t bother me as much as the front. I’ve got a set in my garage waiting to be installed in the front but I’m a bit worried about what this does to airflow and temperature control.

how critical are liners really? You say there’s stuff getting into areas hard to clean out, but not impossible!

Great looking 2 door. I wish I would have know about the steps. I had searched for this kind of thing but missed them. I tried some steps from AIG and they were a bust. Just came out level with the door. I ended up with some metal cloak flip step/rock rails that do the job for my wife now. I put DEE Zee roof rails on because they have support feet that put the weight mostly on the edge of the roof at its strogest point and not on the rails themselves.

I get into a lot of muddy situations, but visit the self-service carwash a lot. I try to be careful with the pressure washer, but the fender liners I think make the job a lot easier (than I would imagine without them, getting more mud on components that I would then have to spray down). I suppose if I wasn't seeing a lot of mud (and water) getting into places, I wouldn't worry about it. I've seen some cool looking after market liners I would consider, but it would just be an aesthetics upgrade for me.

We sincerely appreciate your support and positive feedback. We absolutely love how your Jeep looks. Would you mind if we shared some of your photos, no worries if you prefer we don’t!

Amsoil makes a product called Mudslinger, that i coat the frame and fender liners with before off roading and makes clean up and night and day difference.

I’m going to keep my OEM wheels a bit longer and am not upgrading to Beadgrip wheels soon. Based on my research people run 12-15 psi on them without issues and I think that’ll be good enough for me for a while longer.

however, I did use the Christmas discounts to make some changes to my Metalcloak lift kit. I went up to 3.5” from 2.5” with a few hundred bucks worth of longer springs from MC. While at it, I also added the DB3 rear control arm drop brackets and the full HD Ball(er) Joint Kit from MC to go with my 37” tires. I know I could’ve waited it out for another 10k miles on my OEM ball joints but I wanted the piece of mind.

I also keep playing around with my insane sound system. I invested in some ultra-high grade amphenol-tipped, directional RCAs to send a better signal down to the amps. Then I added two more speakers (6.5” midrange door panel speakers) to my setup to get a fuller sound stage.

I’m prepping the car for EJS 2026 so I’m thinking the only thing missing now is upgraded skid plates. At the same time, maybe that can wait a little longer and the factory skids will do just fine.
