Great info folk's, i m in the process of installing a Delta kit - 8lug application but my provider messed up the order and i ended up with some missing components , hopefully @TeraFlex can chime in and help a little, meantime i was wondering if there are any other issues than the warping reported by @Floriduramax3.0

Also i think it would be nice to know if the rotors have or could benefit from a cryo treatement as well.
I'm right at 2 years and 18,000 miles on my Delta brakes. No issues at all. Best aftermarket mod I've made.

How does the pedal feel? And travel distance of the pedal for braking force?

As I understand obviously it doesn’t change line pressure, or flow with the brake booster. Though litebrite does show a video of an upgraded booster so that may be an eventual thing for me after I get new brakes.

Since my rear pads are still good, my fronts are slowly due for a replacement so I was thinking just buying the stock rotors and pads in the meantime.

You can fix a mushy pedal these JLs were delivered with, by repetitively bleeding ABS. It requires that you have an app/device that will activate the ABS module for bleeding. JSCAN can do this as well as many other scanner devices. Before you do any other mods, try doing an ABS bleed. I did the ABS bleed process 4-5 times before I was satisfied. Once you get a good solid pedal, you could get a good boost in braking with just some EBC Yellow stuff pads. They are hard on rotors, but you might be satisfied with them.

Is the ABS bleed something that I should do with the bleed screws open at each caliper like doing a bleed? Or can we run that bleed setting just sitting in the jeep?

Reason I ask cause when asking around i’m told I can bleed the JL like normal without the need for JSCAN

You CAN bleed a JL like any pre-ABS car, but it won't remove air from the ABS module and lines and the pedal won't get the firmness that the ABS bleed will.

If you get a device that will do the ABS bleed, it should tell you step by step what to do. Yes, it is pretty much the same as doing a non-ABS bleed, but while the ABS is activated. Basically, it has you bleed the system as normal and with ABS activated.

Gotcha that makes sense,

What I was planning on doing was replacing the front rotors and pads as my rear pads still look like they have a lot of life on them and putting away the pennie’s for the eventual teraflex upgrade.

I too installed the Tera Flex BBK on my 392 and Clearly was the BEST UPGRADE for your JL! Urban Jeep Outfitters did the job in Avon NJ, what a difference and of course the look is impressive. Enjoy

Are you running the stock 392 wheels?

Separate question:

Do the Teraflex Delta Brakes fit the 392 Wheels?
