Hey everyone,
So my 21 jlurd needs front brakes so I decided to go ahead and buy the Terraflex delta bbk for the jeep. In my excitement of getting everything I took everything out of there original box including the rotors. The rotors and also individual wrapped so I kept them in those boxes and through the main ones away so I’m not for sure which are the front and rear rotors. Any one know if there is some way to tell them apart?
Also while looking at one of the rear calipers there was a single bolt that was loose anyone know the socket size and tq spec for these bolts.
Thank you

Unless it has a special brake package, the rear rotors will be solid, while the fronts will be vented.

Can't help on the loose bolt without more info - preferably pictures.

Edit: Just looked up Terraflex brake packages. If your kit came with new calipers, all rotors are likely vented (if factory calipers, rears are solid). Your parts list should identify front / rear rotors by part numbers that should be on the rotors.

Thanks I bought there bbk kit that came with all new rotors and calipers etc. the set of rotors come in a box but they with both rotors I them, when looking at the instructions they show different parts numbers for both front and back. But on the individual boxes there is no part number.

There should be part numbers on the rotors themselves. Also, rear brakes are normally smaller than front. The rear rotors are likely smaller in diameter than the front.

The rears have a drum in the rotor for the parking brake pads. The fronts do not have the drum.

I was thinking the modern Jeep rears squeezed the calipers. Never was fond of the drum parking brake. Ooh well.

Thanks for everyone reply the fact the rear parking brake would be in the rear caliper hat makes sense it would be slightly larger. On the delta kit all four rotors are 14x1.25 vented.

You can tell front vs rear by the hat height. The fronts sit deeper since they need to clear the hub and knuckle. Rear rotors are usually flatter

So quick update I contacted teraflex about socket size and torque specs. Was told it’s a 10mm 12 point deep socket and they get torqued to 60 ftlbs.

Not actual caliper with loose bolt but the one circled is the one I had loose on the other rear caliper.
