I run the mopar hd reinforcement bracket and 64lb 37s (with lighter wheel 28-30lb)
It has been squeak/rattle free

Nope i didnt need it .. the KO2 37s fit as is with the stock rubicon plastic bumper... then I moved to Rival 4x4 aluminum rear bumper and it fit that one with even more room to spare. So i never installed that relocation bracket.

Interesting. The 315/70/717 with the 392 rims would close but was just resting on the steel stock bumper.

Yep the rear mopar steel bumper sits higher than the regular plastic rear bumper.. thats a known/expected outcome

Funny because you think they would design it to give more room.
they designed it to give more clearance and breakover perhaps 🤷‍♂️

Another vote for the Teraflex Alpha HD carrier and hinge. Had it on my 2021 and moved it to my 2025. Handles my 37" STT Pros with no issues. No creaks or rattles.

the bumpers are the same where clearance offroading for departure would be the same...it is the cut out for the spare that is thicker on the steal bumper..the lower one has stock rubicon carrier with a tall 35. the top is the XR package with 315/70-17. you can see the bottom of the bumper is the same as far as how far down they hang. just the the bottom of the cut out has more thickness on the top side..

I started with just the Teraflex relocation bracket on my 37" KO2's with the factory tailgate reinforcement bracket . After about 11 months I noticed that the tailgate seemed have some deflection at the upper left side so I added the tailgate hinge. The tailgate hinge added to the bracket lets you ove the tire closer to the tailgate so there is less leverage on the hinge. Only thing I do not like is that Teraflex says that the only was to lube the hinge is to remove the tailgate to get access to the circlips that hold the hinge pins. Been hitting them with WD40 gel and on either side of the pins and working it in be swinging that gate back and forth.

Is removing the spare and disconnecting the light that much of a pain as some say?

Nope. Super easy to remove the light. One latch and one electrical connection. Only need to do it with 5 tire rotations and if you get a flat. Also, relocating the brake light inside the spare improves rear window visibility. Very happy with my Alpha bracket with 35s.

That is what I figured.

People say this is a pain?? I've never had difficulty with it. Occasionally reconnecting the wire to the light can be a bit of a pain, but I don't know that it's ever taken more than 3 minutes. Normally about 30 secs.

Well I was rotating the tires today and when the tire was off I moved the mount by pushing up and down. The noise definitely comes from torsion on the tailgate. I am guessing that this is why mopar made the bracket. To stiffen it up not to twist. I am guessing the alpha does a similar thing by bringing in the tire to stop that leverage or limit it.

Been using the Mopar bracket on a 40 for 3 years now. I also used a Chinese knock off Mopar bracket from Amazon on a 37 for 2 years on my 2 door. Never had an issue.
