1.5" spacer F/R, 1" bumps F/R. 40s. You'll have no issues with 1" spacer and 37s.
Your choice for a longer shock is a good one, the XR coils are hilariously long and could easily support a 14" travel shock. Go for a 5-6" lift shock to get 12" of travel.
XR suspension with a 1" spacer, a 12"...
Stock springs yes. 12" travel shock, not sure what the eye to eye measurement is but that doesn't matter. The stock coil could easily handle a 14" travel shock without unseating.
I did 1" bumps front and rear to fit the 40s. But my XR didn't have the crazy extended towers like some did. Cycle...
I actually think if you get the extended bumps you can take it back to the dealership for a fix.
I remember reading on this forum that the bumpstop issue comes when they throw the 392 bumps on non 392 XRs accidentally.
I've seen hit or miss on the bump stops. I personally had plenty of up travel stock.
Also missing the cast vs alum knuckles being an upgrade. The springs, while yielding lift, also have a longer unsprung length vs a Rubicon. That means you can run a 12" travel shock and not unseat the coil...
Tried searching around but didn't find an answer. Has anyone put the Mohave bypass shocks on a two door? If so how is the ride? Would it be an improvement over the JTR shocks?
I currently have the fox JTR shocks and the ride is hilariously plush. I do want a tad stiffer ride while cornering...
