You can do a lot of wheeling on a stock JL Rubi with 35s. That was my setup for the first 40k miles. I had some minor rubbing in the rear at full articulation. With 37s at stock height you probably won't be able to do any wheeling.
If you want to do any wheeling before the lift, then either...
For those that have this issue, do you have a Tazer? I have a 6MT so when I make settings changes like tire size or gear ratio I sometimes have to do a full computer reset (battery disconnect for 5 mins) or I end up getting a bunch of sensor errors, mostly dealing with wheel speed. The errors...
Just an update on this. Several really. First Steer Smarts got back to me the following day. The first response was that the part was out of stock and would not be shipping until the end of March, a full month later. I pleaded my case and a higher up responded a short time later and said...
I kept my 35s between 30 and 32 PSI cold. I just got the 37s today and had them inflate to 30PSI. Driving to Moab next week so I'll play with the PSI a little on that trip to dial it in.
My excitement of solving my issue was short lived. The shimmy and occasional DW returned after about a week. I checked and there were no fittings that had loosened, everything was torqued to spec.
Next I decided just to proceed with my original upgrade plan hoping that something in plan would...
I'm now three days in. Driven it two work and back three times. This round trip has many spots that would trigger anywhere from an obviously noticeable shimmy, that makes you say WTF the first few times, with a several that would cause a pretty severe shimmy, sometimes evolving to full on DW...
Yeah, I was surprised by the amount of lift I got too. I took 8 before measurements around the Jeep, and measured again after. The average of all 8 was a net 5.5". I have Rock Hard aluminum bumpers, that are super light, and I've not added anything that would weigh it down. I can't think of...
I was the first one who voted 5+. My first 40k miles were stock with 35" Cooper STT Pros. I never had the slightest shimmy.
This past November I got a MC 3.5 GC installed. I had a little shimmy as I drove home from the shop. I didn't really know what it was, felt like something was loose...
Do it yourself. You'll save at least a few of those Benjamins. Plus the feeling afterwards is awesome. I've always paid others to work on my vehicles. I started small with my JK, brakes, shocks, bumpers... With my JL I'm doing more of the work myself. In the last 4-6 weeks I've done TR...
I installed the DT ball joints today. I'm reluctant to declare victory over my shimmy/DW so soon. It has made me the fool at least a couple times in the past few months.
After completing the install I took it on a test drive. I drove all the way to work and back. There are several harsh bumps...

Install DT ball joints today. Got the ball joints and knuckle installed. Both upper and lower castle nuts are torqued to DT spec. The cotter pin holes line up. But I wasn't expecting such gaps between the knuckle and axle C. Take a look at Pic. Are those gaps normal? Also the snap ring...
I'd not seen that thread, thanks for sharing!! I just read the entire thread. It got me very nervous at first seeing how many people have had experiences eerily similar to mine. Was relieved to see that ball joints did the trick for most, after replacing everything I've already replaced of...
My lift included all new control arms and both front and rear track bar. I installed the SS Yeti TR, DL, and SS a week and a half ago. This was all part of my upgrade plan.
Some have said the Steer Smarts steering stabilizer isn't the greatest. But before I dump a few hundred more on a...

I have left out the fact that I have changed out shocks since the lift. When I got the lift I told the shop I want to do some of the work myself. Partly becuase I wanted to be able to say I did some of the work. And partly becuase I wanted a really good set of shocks, and getting a lift and...
My current tires are Cooper STT Pros 315x70 17 MT, load range E. On the stock suspension I never had a complaint as to how they rode. At 36+ psi, they were a bit harsh, but at or just under 30psi where I kept them inflated the ride was very comfortable. This is the 2nd set of STT Pros I've...
