I just had KO2 315s put on my 2019 JLU Sahara today. I have a slight rub with the spare on the bumper. Need advice on a good relocation bracket. I really dont want it to lift it much, just enough to clear comfortably. Also, what is the weight limit for the OEM spare tire mount and hinges? I may need the hinge reinforcement too...
What is everyone's experiences?

I just installed the Terra Flex relocation bracket.
I really like it for the quality and camera/brake light mount design.

It's height adjustable.

I also paired it with the mopar reinforcement. I don't think it's needed for 35's
but I may go to 40's when i change axles someday.

I know, but this little latch got me. I'm eating ramen noodles all month.

That's the line i used on my daughter when she asked for her 4th pair of airpods, now she loves ramen and wants it every night. The key is to add sesame oil when you cook them. I see you also have your temp tags still, i purchased mine in April and still don't have my plate.

Yeah I won't be seeing a plate anytime soon. We bought it in May from a dealer in Los Angeles.
Trying to work with the dealers here in Phoenix felt like an episode of Twilight Zone.

The problem with those lower cost relocation brackets is that they push the tire further from the tailgate, adding cantilever forces and the tailgate rubber bumpers no longer can reach and support the tire.

I always recommend the Teraflex Alpha HD carrier. Very well made product that has 3 height settings and a fore and aft adjustment that allows a fine tuned pressing of the tire to the rubber bumpers. Included, is a third brake light relocation bracket that gets one more thing out of the rear view mirror and a beefier camera housing that eliminates that cheesy factory plastic cover.

Oh, and don't waste your money on the Mopar or any similar non-hinged "reinforcements". They only stiffen the tailgate panel, while just putting more dead weight on the hinges that are the true weak link.

Does this make it super easy for someone to walk by and steal? of is it just for looks? lol
Yeah, hopefully they take that and not the tube doors. :)
This jeep is a yard sale of stuff sitting in a parking lot.

It is functional though, no extra tools for getting the spare off.

No body in their right mind would risk a BCalvin beat down over a 3rd break light. ;)

No tools? Wait, so the tire isn't held on with lug nuts? Interesting. I'm not willing to risk a wheel and tire for a cool looking camera cover lol.

I already get worried sometimes when I'm downtown about having a softtop on and I have to park somewhere I can't see the vehicle.

I said no extra tools. The spare is still mounted with lug nuts. The latch serves a purpose and I like the design. It allows you to slide the 3rd brake light off with no extra tools. If it gets stolen, that would be a bummer, but the jeeps are so vulnerable as they are.

The camera housing isn't just a cover but its a heavy duty machined lug that helps slide the heavy spare on and off.

Thats cool! Kinda want it now. Does it work with any tailgate reinforcement hinges? rugged ridge? evo? etc.?

It's a nice bracket, i was surprised by the quality.
I have it mounted with the Mopar reinforcement.

The tire is close and snug to the gate, works perfect but I have only had it now for a couple weeks.
