Teraflex Alpha HD VS. Mopar Relocation Bracket

So I have a 2020 Rubicon Unlimited and I just put some 392 takeoff tires and rims. I bought a chinese copy relocation bracket to move the tire slightly up and out as it was just touching the steel bumper (https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B082R4KDN6?ref=ppx_pt2_dt_b_prod_image). I have adjusted the tailgate to minimize the majority of rattle, but when I hit bigger bumps I can see the tire kind of flop up and down. Although this relocation bracket should be the same as mopars; I would like to pull the tire in closer to the tailgate. I hear great things about the alpha hd adjustable spare tire mount PN 4838910 .

People who have factory xtreme recons do you see movement.? For those that have the alpha hd adjustable spare tire mount do you like it? Any help would be great. I could also get the Mopar hinge reinforcement, but I hear that is mostly for looks.

Will likely go that route. It is weird that Jeep decided to go with the relocation bracket they did on the xtreme recon. The rims on those models have more offset and already are further from the tailgate then stock rubicon rims. Now you add another half an inch and more weight and it seems you are asking for problems. I figure the closer I can get the tire, the better.

I have a mopar heavy duty hinge and Rough country relocation bracket and rock solid with a Mickey Thompson 35 and AEV wheel combined weight 108lbs. I put some extensions inside the bumps and the tire is solid..

I had the TF alpha tire carrier as well on a previous rig but with the HD hinge. No rattles ever even with a 40 on it and washboard trails.

Costs a bit but never had any issues.

I have 35s. Stock hinges. I didn't change anything there because I read they shouldn't have any problem up to 100 lbs or so of weight. Also, for some reason the tail gate swings closed so much more easily now. I used to have to close it twice most of the time to get it to latch, and now it just swings shut and clicks. Maybe the higher tire center of gravity helps? I don't know but it's nice.

No noise that I've noticed.

If you do not planning on going anything larger than 35" tires the Teraflex unit is nice. If you will go larger, may I suggest CavFab's tire carrier.

Thanks. Plan to stick with the current size of 315/70/r17s. Not sure why jeep designed the xtreme recon to have the tire sticking out so far. Obviously that had to work around the rear louver vents, but seems odd to have it that way.

Did you change the rubber bumpers that are supposed to touch the tire too? I had to do that when I went with the XR wheels.

Yeah, and they seem to be pushed against them pretty good. The kit I got is exactly a copy of the Mopar one. Maybe I need the Mopar hinge reinforcement just to stop any twisting on the tailgate?

I run the mopar hd reinforcement bracket and 64lb 37s (with lighter wheel 28-30lb)
It has been squeak/rattle free
