Apparently these days, there is no such thing as 'wrong gender.' 'Wrong orientation' perhaps, but not 'wrong gender.'

Not that there is anything wrong with that. We are, after all, in The New Millennium.:)
I meant wrong gender for the cross section of women who are attracted to Jeep drivers. :whew:

I’m getting a fly 19.5 in my rubicon so I’m not sure what people mean about “bad mpg”

But that will disappear this weekend when I get my 37s :)

If you just want to scratch the Jeep itch, just get a slightly used JK. It’s much cheaper and it does the same thing. It holds value so if you don’t like it, you can sell it and not have too much financially invested.
I bought my first Jeep when I had a 3 year old and they loved it and it was easy to live with. I find it easier to load kids in than most other cars.

Definitely gonna be easier to load my son into. I’m 6’5 and my wife is 5’10 so we are done with cars we have to crawl into. I thought about the JK but the JL is just better in just about every way. I’m gonna get a new one. I’ve settled for my last two cars. Not doing it again.
My mind is pretty well made. If the numbers work out on the Rubicon I’m getting it. If not I’ll get the Sport S.

I own both vehicles 2018 JL and a 2019 Ram Laramie..

The Ram is a million times nicer than the jeep drives better feels better and has way more uses.

The Jeep is fun and a whole other experience when driving.

Depends on what you need in a vehicle.

I got rid of my Ram 1500 QC 4x4 to make room for the JL I ordered. I had it for 14 years and only put 88K miles on it. If you need a pickup, it's nice, but it has certain disadvantages. For example, trying to find a parking spot that is large enough for it to parallel park in the French Quarter. :) For that, the JL would be better. Even better would be a CJ-5 tough... The JL is about 5 ft shorter than my Ram 1500 (with the 6 ft bed). The JL is 28.4" longer than the CJ-5, so it's not that small anymore.

Gender is binary... You are either a 1 or a 0. It's really pretty simple... Get undressed... Look between you legs... If you see a '1', you're male... If you see a '0', you're female... If you see neither, you either need to lose some weight or you need to mow... :)

My husband has a 2016 Ram 1500 Limited and I LOVE it! At first I thought, "It's huge. I'm never driving it." However, I love driving it and I love being up high. I feel like (not that I ever would ;)) I could run people off the road if needed. However, it is awful to park. I have wanted a Wrangler forever - decades. Husband told me I wouldn't like it because I'm used to "bells and whistles". This summer we purchased a 2015 yellow Willy for our 16 year old - zero bells and whistles. I prefer to drive it over my Lexus RX350. I'm now in the midst of negotiating the purchase of a black JL - Sahara (I need my bells and whistles).

Make sure you look into some of the threads on hear about dealers that are giving 6% below invoice when getting your prices! They are legit and many members have taken advantage of the deals! I know I am!

So I’ve been researching and waiting to buy my Wrangler next month. I’ve been very excited about finally getting one. Not that I’m a few weeks away I’m becoming hesitant on pulling he trigger. It doesn’t get the greatest gas mileage. It doesn’t have a ton of storage. It’s probably not as safe as most cars out there. And I’ve been hearing horror story after horror story about some people and their new JL. There’s no doubt it’d be fun but do I really want to drop 45k on fun? I have a 3 year old son. Is it gonna be an ok choice for him? I know there’s no logical reason to pay 45k on an off-road vehicle when it’ll probably only go off-road 5% of the time. HELP ME!!! Lol!
I’ve been starting to lean towards the new 2019 Ram 1500.

Pretty sure the horror stories from Ram Truck owners in never ending.

Bought my first Wrangler on July 4th. I've always wanted one but it never seemed like the right time. I sold my CrewMax Tundra and seriously downsized but my wife has a minivan and that's our practical family vehicle and the Jeep is our fun ride. I realized that the truck was just a bunch of room and cargo capacity and towing power that I did not use. I bought a small utility trailer for when I need it and I haven't missed having a truck for one second. And hearing my kids laugh and yell in the backseat that first night with the top off was something I couldn't have gotten in the Tundra.

I suppose you have not read the forum "Issues , Repairs , Warranty , TSB , Recalls" on this forum . You better read it BEFORE you sign up for a JL , and give up your reliable Lexus . Your JL bells and whistles will mean nothing if your JL is at the dealer for problems no one understands . Also , Jeeps are meant for offroad , not a day at the mall , or a month at a service department .
