How bad of an idea would it be to find a way to put 33-35 inch tires on a coachman clipper? My thought would be to modify the fenders to keep a lower center of gravity, maybe one inch block on the springs.. tires on this unit at 29 inches tall
To the OP
In 2018 I bought a brand new JLUR.. 2 days later I needed a new motor.
i went through what I thought to be a 10 inch hole water, middle of a ādirt parking lotā near a river boat ramp.., turns out it was full of silt and 4 feet deep
first brand new vehicle I ever owned, 18k in...
Pardon my ignorance.
I'm 3 weeks into owning my second JLUR. I had one in 2018 and loved it but it wasn't practical for my job. Cut to the modern day, i just picked up a '21 JLUR and i'm going to equip it for overlanding. I enjoyed my last one with 2.5 inches of lift and 37s, but with...
Owned a 3.6 auto with a 2018 JLUR with 37s and loved it. Was dead set on NOT getting the 2.0
then I test drive one
my ā21 JLUR definitely has the 2.0 :)
Technically youāre brand new jeep is going to be newer. Your poor brand new transmission is going to be in a used jeep ;)
be happy this happened now and not after you put a sticker in your window and voided your warranty
i think a bigger waste would be to get a lift because āitās better than RCā and then want to switch but youāre 2k int
rc would be $200 that I could install myself.
I want 37s because I think 35s look small and awkward. I shop hard for my tire and wheel setup. My 37 wheel and tire combo is...
Just got back into the jeep world. Previously I owned a 2018 JLUR when they first hit the market. I put a RC 2.5 inch spacer lift with 37s on it until I figured out what quality lift i wanted. It rode amazingly (other than steering) I ended up getting rid of the truck and here I am again
this...
so you pay *1800 for a steel bumper group and you get "winch ready" front steel that requires a $300 winch plate and (if you want to protect it) another $2-300 for a bull bar to protect the winch.
and now you're still left with garbage recovery hooks on the front.
Why not just sell the bumper...
Yeah I completely forgot about the axles. In my opinion the only reason to get a sport is if youāre going to be making something 100% for the trail and youāre ripping out both axles anyways
or
you plan on driving 100% stock..
mid you plan on any sort of moderate upgrades a Rubicon drivetrain...
About to buy my second jeep, second Rubicon.
i want 35-37 inch tires.. the 4.10s can handle that nicely..
The biggest issue.. after I build a sport s with the same options that either come standard or that I want in a Rubicon (8.4 screen, tow, led.. etc)itās about 50k.. so getting a Rubicon...
