Taking the top off by myself

I remove my top using a few eye hooks in the ceiling of my garage and some inexpensive tie down straps. Works well and you can lower back in place easily when you want to reinstall your top.

I'm similar, I just use no wood. I got the topsey eye brackets in the rear hinges, and the topsey strap under the overhang in front of the side windows.

1. How do you pull 2/4 straps simultaneously?
2. How do you get the boards under the top to lift it up? Do you pick up the top and slide them under?

+1 for the topsy brackets. They even come with a strap for the front. Got less than than $60 in mine including the topsy.

You’re not stupid. I was just as raw as you with my first Jeep and when I joined this forum. You learn EVERYTHING about Jeep’s in here. A lot of smart mother effers in this forum.
That’s called a Top Lift Pro. It’s a great item for removal and storage. It does go for about 1k new. There’s usually some used ones in the Member Marketplace.

i don’t have any pics of my setup specifically but it’s similar @wbee setup with 4 eye bolts and 4 pull type straps along with topsy kit.
