Thanks so much, it’s hard to tell when you’re driving for a while I thought the noise was coming from the driver side rear door.
I can’t say enough positive things about all the support and help you get on this forum the Jeep community is definitely one of a kind you guys are amazing and gals I should say. It’s a shame more people in our country are not like everyone on this forum.

Thanks for the info in here. Just ordered the $20.99 one. I have to wait until tomorrow for it. The horrors. 😂

Sounds like a good product. I may give this a shot too. I think mine works well stock but can’t hurt to get a better one. I added this to my cart along with the m6 x 20mm bolts. I only see the 25 pack but oh well, I’ll have left overs if needed.

I jumped in on this. I replaced my tailgate hinges with the Teraflex kit for JL. I'll report back when I get it installed later this week.

@CarbonSteel and @Rhinebeck01

What prevents you from using the OEM bolt? Is the flange too wide? Or is the new part so much thicker than the original that it requires a longer bolt?
The non-removable washer on the OEM bolt is too large to fit into the slot of the aluminum plate. I suppose a little judicious application of a grinder on the washer would fix that, but it was just as easy to buy a new bolt (I bought grade 10.9 for durability since it is a 6mm thread).

Yup .....and I wanted/preferred a lets call it beefier bolt that would be less apt to walk around.

@CarbonSteel

Did you see the Texas keyhole covers that DI Labs has now. I think they have 4 for you Texans.. 8-)

In the same vein:
A bucket of bolts.

I don't know what your $/hour cost works out to, but having a pile of connectors on hand is worth it to me, Vs. the aggravation/time/fuel/wear costs of going out to buy a single bolt/nut.

Basically, the cost of going out to buy a specific fastener four times is equal the cost of buying a giant set of fasteners.

for those of you who have mentioned adding the loop (AKA "fuzzy") part of velcro to the latch, is it top, bottom & front?
what width velcro are you using?

and once again, I'd like to thank you twat-waffles for getting into my wallet ;)
