@Jammer On my last couple of JK's, I had a plain black vinyl decal over the visor warnings because there was no way to get the warning decals off. The black decal(s) looked ok .. but stood out as it did not match the visor color.

With the JL I was able to get the warning decals off, so no way was I going to place a piece of vinyl that does not match the color of the visor on my visor.

I don't care, if it had the word Rubicon in red or the word, Mom on it. I hardly notice the faint outline where I took the visor decal off..... I rarely even notice the faint outline anymore.

Anyway, glad there is a decal offering to cover the visor warning for the JL for those that want it.... that prefer not to just peel off the warning decals.

Glad you could get it off without tearing it up me and several people trying on our JLs and couldn't get it off so we did not want to take a chance of tearing it up after we couldn't get it off we stopped. Like I said glad you could get yours off. Wasn't worth the risk to tear that up for a sticker. So we stopped and did what we did we're happy you're happy that's all that matters move on

I hear ya... Yes, it was a quite a bit of work to remove the warning decals. Was time consuming as the decals came off in a zillion little pieces versus all in one piece of even two or three pieces. At no time did I think either visor was at risk of damage but again, a pain in the ass to remove all the little shreds/pieces of decal.

I've seen YouTube videos where people take the visors off and soak them in water no thanks. I think it was on JKs and cars

I did this last night. Heat gun, low setting. It seems to like to be fairly warm to come off the easiest. No residue but definitely an outline of where they were. I think it is still better than the big ugly stickers. I bet an upholstery shop would re wrap these for minimal cost.

@Goin2drt

As you see, the outline is faint but it is what it is. 8-) The outline is not going away but I can tell you in short order, you will rarely even take notice of that faint outline. I know you can't say the same for that ridiculously gawdy safety decal that was there.

Remember, you can still place a decal over where the decal was and that will cover the faint outline... but then you will be looking at a decal that does not match the color of the visor..

For those that will be removing the safety decals. Do use a very low heat setting on your hair dryer. First heat the whole decal and then quickly go to a side of it and start peeling it off as you continually hit it with the heat. Careful not to over heat / melt the visor's vinyl. Peel , pull slowly and gently so you do not stretch the heat softened visor's, vinyl. You will see the vinyl is soft and giving a tad but it will go back into shape.. Just go easy and expect to be working on each visor for a good half hour +-.

Picked up my black JLU Sport Friday.
- Removed sport decal on side right away ... 60 seconds
- just took off the visor warning decal. I don’t think my patience is as strong as others. Cranked the blow dryer on high and maybe 5 min per visor. Much better. Thanks dor this thread!

yes he was great to work with kept in touch with me all the time talk to him about once or twice a week till I got it we were going to do just black and I mention the Rubicon and he liked it so much i think he did it on his also. It looks better in person. It looks like it's supposed to be there from the factory because it matches the Rubicon on the seats

I love the black Rubicon one but couldn't find it on the Pixeldecals website, where did you find it? Thank you in advance for your help.

Did mine last week. Passenger visor took about 2 minutes. Driver side took an hour and most I could pull at a time was 1/8 of an inch chunks. Sucked. Freaking useless warnings due to stupid lawsuits.

I finally got around to peeling the stupid sticker off this weekend. Since I waited so long, it was pretty stuck on. I used a heat gun and got it pretty warm and it came off in reasonably decent sized chunks. I did find out that I could go back over any stretched spots on the vinyl with the heat gun and it tightened right up. That made it a bit easier since I could quit worrying about making it look bad.

Those heat guns are so hot I would have been scared to use a heat gun.I'm so used to the Rubicon decals now that are black with the red letters I get a lot of compliments on it. Would it have looked better with nothing probably yes but I started trying to get one off and it seemed like it was going to rip the leather or vinyl whatever that is on the visor. I did not want to take a chance especially with the homelink on there then have to buy a new one I would have been pissed at myself
