This is what I use. I'm an Asian woman and an excellent driver! I am an Asian woman, I can say that. If you delete my post, you're a racist against me and my marginalized race...... so, are you a racist?

I was noticing this the other day as well. I usually leave it on, since the JLU uses hooks under the windshield. It was a lot easier with the JK as they used the bungee balls everywhere.

For the people stating headroom. How close is your head to the roof? Seems you all have a lot of other issues besides your head hitting the sun shade.
I have a Hotheads sunshade that does not require you to drop the windshield. It attaches to the front bolt holes which I assume are for a hardtop. I have a soft top so I don’t know.

If I had the power to delete other people's posts, this forum would be a wasteland; there'd be nothing but tumbleweeds and facts up in this place.

I'm not talking to you, unless you deleted my first post that said, "that's the one Asian women use". :CWL:

If you quote someone, then you're talking to them.

Okay, this part was a joke directed to you: "that's the one Asian women use". :CWL:

The deleted post part was intended for whoever deleted my post because their feelings were hurt or something by something they saw on the Internet.

I'd definitely take a SOT over a soft top when camping in places like the Rubicon Trail that have a crapload of bears. Or hell, parking someplace with a higher crime rate.

I drove convertibles for years. You quickly learn to never lock it and hope that a potential thief will try the door before taking out their knife.

I dunno, looking like we're gonna need a poll to resolve this one...

Love mine. No noise. I'm 6'3" my son is 6'4", never had any height issues with it.

Wish I would have went and looked elsewhere before buying the Spiderweb Shade. I like the quick takedown much better.

If the JLU had the freedom panels for the rear seat as well, I wouldn't use anything and run a solid top. Fucking stupid to put the panels back in for the front seats but not the back seats. I think the Bronco did this

I'll take the bears over the SOT personally

None... but it pays well.
Hopefully the OP knows to ensure that the soft top's locking function is engaged when it's lowered. Mine hasn't ever made any undesired noise when in that position.

Edit: He mentions on p. 2 that the Jeep's top was in the Sunrider position when the undesired noises were occurring.

I had toyed with the idea of a sunshade, but they're non-starters for exactly the reason you mention: lashing them to the sport bar reduces needed headroom to the point that my head would be in constant contact with the material.

They do look like a functional accessory, otherwise.
I am tall... no issues, never pulled mine since completing the installation.

I admit it needs the rear tightened up. Thinking of a way to make it clip and unclip. The shade only has 4 velcro straps that loop around each pillar. When done right the shade is pulled up almost against the freedom panels. Showing passenger side installed.
