Installed the Spiderwebshade last night. Driving today is so nice. The sun isn't in my eyes and a lot less wind and noise.

It does make some noise from the back sounds like a plastic grocery bag whipping in the wind. I'll have to work on that. Not sure if it has anything to do with the soft top being flipped open.

None... but it pays well.
I have a mesh sun shade with hardtop attached. No whippy sounds ... so it probably is the folded down soft top

I ended up taking ours out and tossing it. It's too low for taller people, so your head is always touching it. We also have a crapload of scenery overhead that can't be readily seen through it.

It was, however, nice when driving on the interstate.

Poor boy's sun shade for one trip without the hardtop. 😁 Half a roll of blue tape and we had shade.

I absolutely love the Spiderweb Shade. In the hot Texas sun, that little bit of mesh makes a massive difference. To Ratbert's point, yes it does obstruct a lot of the view. But then again, I am in Texas and relatively flat and nothing overhead to see.

On a roadtrip and I took the top off somewhere, I could see it being nice to take it off.

Not to harp but the SOT is a must have for a JEEP in 2024, to many advantages over disadvantages.

I love my sunshade. Yes it obstructs upward views but it also obstructs cancer and sunburns.

What's up with people talking about a product and then not posting a photo of it?

There's a bajillion mesh tops out there, why don't you post a photo so we know what you're talking about without having to do a Google search. :headbang:

It gives you all that extra weight on the top of the vehicle thought. Not to mention, a royal bitch to remove if you really want to be topless. Never mind the cost.

Hopefully the OP knows to ensure that the soft top's locking function is engaged when it's lowered. Mine hasn't ever made any undesired noise when in that position.

Edit: He mentions on p. 2 that the Jeep's top was in the Sunrider position when the undesired noises were occurring.

I had toyed with the idea of a sunshade, but they're non-starters for exactly the reason you mention: lashing them to the sport bar reduces needed headroom to the point that my head would be in constant contact with the material.

They do look like a functional accessory, otherwise.

This is a nice option if it fit's with your top. Deploy on demand!
