If that's a real ad, and it's that persistent, that would be my last Stelantis vehicle. I haven't gotten it myself, but they could just be rolling it out slowly, trying it out. Or as someone else said, possible phishing attempt. It would be nice if @JeepCares could verify if this is a real ad from Stelantis/Jeep or something else.

I will settle for sticking it to the man to modify his behavior even if only briefly. Yes, I understand that it has the potential to raise the price of my next vehicle by $8.76, or even $87.60. I am good with that. That is like saying don't bust your son's ass, because it will only modify his behavior temporarily, and after all it will hurt me more than it will hurt him. Having said all that, the problem is/was so widespread the probability of a lawyer looking into it, and concluding it wasn't winnable, or worth it, for some legal reason is probably high.
Take into consideration that every major corporation is battling many legal issues on a constant basis. So the money bleed never stops. Whether those legal issues are valid or not. Just the times we live in.

No matter what the reason is for the class action, etc, everyone who buys “the man’s” product pays. The corporate “deep pockets” are filled by the customers of said corporation. When their taxes are raised, a fine imposed, or a judgement is levied, those costs are simply rolled into the cost of their products going further. No one wins by “sticking it it to the man”. We all pay, unless we opt out by no longer doing business with the man.

But, such actions do sting the man for the moment and are hopefully a means to modify their behavior, if only briefly.
It's true. Sanctions aren't necessarily paid by the entity they are levied against but rather shared by those the entity sells to depending on who's got more power in the transaction.

Raise cigarette taxes (an addictive substance): they're mostly picked up by the smoker in higher prices, not the manufacturer. But assign fees to some bad actor who sells things that the consumer has choice to not buy or buy elsewhere...more of that cost will be eaten by those sanctioned.

Driving today and this overlay kept popping up over and over, no less than 40 times. I kept hitting the X to close it, but back it came, overlaying my navigation that I was using. I called and asked to have this disabled (that and my jeep has over 36,000 miles) and the rep asks for my VIN. How the hell am I supposed to know that while driving, and why would they make it so easy to call while driving? And to top it all off, when I said I was driving and didn't know my VIN, they abruptly hung up on me. I am fucking livid.

@JeepCares, I need this pop up to stop. Please DM me to resolve.

Hi @Obi Wan,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Have you tried selecting the "Ok" button instead of the "X"? If you are still experiencing concerns, please send us a private message with your VIN.

I stopped reading when you started whining and ranting like a child looking for mommy's skirts. But then I made it to the foul language and realize you need other kind of help and dodn't read any further.
So you got all the way to the end of his paragraph before deciding to stop reading?

So we have to hit OK on something trying to sell us a product for it to go away? Totally makes sense.

Welcome to the dark side, Obi Wan 😏

Jeep Wrangler JL Stelantis, stop this shit. {filename}

I've never gotten those messages in any of my Jeeps, but then I don't keep a phone with a SIM card in it connected to Uconnect (I use Carplay on an old iPhone 6s with no connectivity, just to play music only lol)...maybe that is the culprit since it offering to do a bluetooth call, it's detecting your phone and thus offering services as such. Pull the SIM card and see what happens. You'll lose all connectivity, but it might solve Stella harassing you 😅

This is the sort of crap Im talking about when I said repeatedly that I want to disable this entirely. With zero telemetry comes zero forced crap. Some users actually like being tracked so this can happen but hopefully they will catch up soon to all the downside. All it takes is one bad update, out of the blue that you cant stop, and suddenly your jeep is borked.

Does anyone even test the software before it rolls out? Seriously why is this difficult?

Remove the SIM(s) and be done with it? Or don't and continue to whine about it?

Let me guess which you'll choose.

If you really felt this strongly about it you would rip out all the electronics and replace them with aftermarket

Im only a few months into ownership buying it new. I'm no mechanic; I dont want to do anything that will void the warranty. As such I have no choice in the matter from a common sense standpoint.

Common sense would have been not to buy something you are so afraid of.

On the contrary - one of the prime reasons I bought it was for its overall simplicity compared to other vehicles. I'm not afraid to learn and im trying to, but I know my limits. It would be stupid for me to mess with it at this point in the purchase.
