so I’m looking at the next thing I wanna do at my Jeep and that is a steering stabilizer right now. I’m torn between two oldies the FOX race adjustable two point one I think and the falcon adjustable.
However, I have just come across the icon vehicle dynamics
what are your thoughts

There was a video from awhile ago that mentioned 10 things to stop doing to your jeep. Number 3 was stop buying expensive steering stabilizers.

Yes, they look cool, and they might be marginally better. But your money can be better spent elsewhere. I would relocate it if you are rock crawling, but otherwise leave it alone.

That is why I linked a ram if you are going to do anything with it make it worthwhile. Just got back from Moab and there were a few times some steering assistance would have been really nice to have.

I just checked out your link and I have a question: in one of the pix it looks like the ram is in the factory SS location and not relocated. Can it be installed in the relocated position? I would be worried about damaging it. (Like I did with my factory SS last week)

I don't know for sure, but I would assume it could as long as you have room for the hoses and a way to mount it securely. It does look like it is hidden behind the tie rod pretty well, but I do see your point about possibly hitting it.

It really kind of depends. If you're at stock height or a smaller lift, then I would agree an expensive SS probably isn't worth it, especially if you have a FAD.

But when you don't have FAD (2024+ and some earlier models) and a higher lift, a better SS can make a big difference. On my 2025 I have a 3.5" MC GC that netted me 5.25 inches. Without the FAD my front drive shaft is always spinning. When I first installed the lift my initial caster reading was 4.9 degrees. At that caster my front DS (aftermarket from MC) would start vibrating about 45mph and get considerably worse as I sped up. I adjusted my caster down to 2 degrees. Now the DS vibrates very slightly between about 48 and 58mph and then goes away.

With caster at 2 degrees, a normal SS would have you darting all over the road. I have the Fox 2.0ATS set at 20 out of 24 and it drives perfectly. Stays right online, doesn't wander, and never pulls violently or otherwise on any type of surface. I started at seting 16 out of 24 and it would noticeably looser, I can't imagine what cheaper less firm SS would be like.

It’s all relative…… there’s a time and a place for better stabilizers….and there’s way more than a marginal difference……

We did the $80 Bilstein and it's perfectly acceptable; nearly identical to the AEV.
I did the AEV Bilstein one, I got it with my lift. It caused my Jeep to pull while driving. I ended up swapping it for a BDS one, works perfect.

Through shaft! Really does make a difference! I always thought upgrading the ss was a waste, till it wasn't. I went falcon, but the fox one is good too. I WAS getting right pull before with the standard type fox upgrade, TS cured it.

I have a fox suspension and falcon steering stabalizer. It is great as it has made my steering very precise. The adjustable knob makes it super easy to adjust your preference. I drive a lot on winding road and it has made jeep very BMWish steering wise.

I had no issue with oem one but decided to go for some extra bling and did the AEV (bilstein) and truly no difference. OEM was great AEV is no different...if you could do a blind test and drive both without knowing which was which you would not be able to detect a difference...I have zero pull with either..I have used the 3 sets of tires with the AEV stabilizer and can report no difference between sets of tires either.
