@falcon241073 - Thanks for the super quick reply and that was really informative. I noticed the spacers and am happy to hear that they make the delete plate even with the mopar reinforcement tailgate. I do have the front trail cam so I will cross that bridge with the back camera when I do the install. Thanks again for the boost of confidence!
Call them and discuss if they’ve figured out a fix. They have great customer service. I sent pics of the issue and my solution. They said they’d look at it. I never followed up. But Brit is awesome at design and they will bend over backwards to make thing right. And if you’re a veteran or first responder they give good discounts. They do verify. But it’s a simple process.
But call them before you order to make sure. It’ll save you possible head aches later. The delete kit can become a puzzle to put together depending on how many extra pieces you order. Like the light mount and such.

better departure and approach angles,

How so? At least on my rigs, the donut has zero impact on departure and approach angles,
There is a trail out here in Sand Hollow called "The Ledges" and it is recommended to deflate your spare (no matter what size) because you WILL clip it on certain ledges and if deflated it will simple squish instead of hanging up and possibly doing damage.

For those who are adamant a spare tire is necessary do you also carry a spare part for anything that can leave you stranded on the trail?
It's not binary, it's probability. Probability of a flat is very high, that's why vehicles have traditionally come from the factory with a spare. It's by far the most common failure I see in our wheeling club. The taco's I wheel with breaking the front axle shaft high on the failure list, so they carry spares.

Tires are in another category too. You get a flat that can be repaired, you don't want to ruin it by driving on the flat. Do you really want a tow home? If you break a powertrain component that leaves you with 2 WD, you can get to the trail head with some tow assist. Once at the trail head, no problem driving home in 2 WD. That's why I don't carry extra axle shafts, drive shafts, etc.

I used to carry a skinny 31 spare when I was on 37's but upgraded to factory 33 spare now that I'm on 38's. I'm guessing a small spare would be less susceptible to clipping. Even so, air down is prudent.

Nothing about running a delete precludes you from having a spare. I know several that just throw it in the Wrangler or Gladiator when they go on trails. Otherwise around town I am not concerned I have roadside assistance for that.

I am going back to having it as in a 2 door I want the space but it drives a hell of a lot better with that weight low and over the axle.

Personally would never run a smaller spare unless again just tossed inside or that just looks terrible…

We put on a light and just took off the bumper for now while looking for something I like, trying to do something new but likely back to Nemesis. New plates are on order. We did space out the camera and it improved the Warn spare delete but I doubt that is staying there long term, but now it is at least not getting on my nerves.

It is a Nemesis Crawler but a bit custom with some Recovery Hooks but same foot print as the one on the website. Hopefully should be here soon with the front bumper and rockers.

I'm really digging the look of the spare tire delete. My Xtreme Recon with the spare reinforcement is set to arrive in the next week or so. I'm researching the best options for removing the spare tire day to day, but then being able to swap it back on for road trips 2-3 times a year.

Don't do it, makes your Wrangler look weird. When I see them on the road I can only think of an abused Wrangler.

It will never be on when you need it. What's wrong with a 31 or 33" spare?

Looked at a lot of them & liked the Artec the best-

It greatly increases rear visibility & drops the weight a bit. I use my Jeep mostly for short trips & mild off-road. If it gets more serious I'll just bring along tire repair stuff / compressor and/or toss the spare in the back. I don't worry too much if folks say it doesn't look manly enough or how stupid it is. I do use the 3rd brake light although it is not mandatory to pass inspection in PA. Believe it or not a 3rd brake light was not federally required for over 80 years and somehow people actually survived it.

Curious on where you got the reflectors to cover up the holes on the rear tailgate. Looks clean!
