Just bought a 2013 Sahara with 35” tires and 20” wheel. Spare tire is not mounted. Looking for suggestions on what type of spare tire mount to buy. Are they fairly easy to install ?

Welcome to the forum.

You should be able to buy a used JK spare tire carrier on eBay, Craigslist or Marketplace.

Good luck.

As noted, you will get better JK advice on the JK forum (you have a JK). I have a 2014 JK and a 2021 JL. The Hinges on the JK are not super strong, I bent the hinges on my old 2008 JK with a 35"/18" combo, your 35"/20" combo is likely heavier. I'd seek a solution that either involves support from the bumper or replacing hinges with beefier ones and augmenting the tailgate. I have the JL version of this on my JL. I know it's a lot more expensive but if you mount to the tailgate only and you end up not able to close your tailgate.... https://cavfab.com/collections/jeep...-elite-series-body-mounted-spare-tire-carrier

Cheaper one:
