I bought a set of rubicon takeoff suspension parts for my sport s. I ended up letting them sit for about a year, earlier today I decided to try and install them and noticed the shocks may be leaking now. I did not know they were meant to be stored compressed until now. They have just been sitting in a box upright. Would these be considered leaking/unusable?

I used those for awhile, mine leaked too. I installed bilstein 5100’s and they are great.

How do you like the bilsteins? Does it ride softer or firmer on the hi
any sign of oil from the seals and they are toast - regardless of weeping or leaking - shocks don't cry....
That’s unfortunate. Should I just toss these then?

They are “sharper” on little bumps and “better” on big bumps than the factory red shocks.

No complaints though. Better in every way.
