  1. Gladiator Fox shocks on JLUR?

Ok nice, thanks, I managed to get it in earlier today. Took longer than expected, I had really crank the tool beyond what I thought would be required. I cut up some of one of the rubber lip getting it in but it should work fine.
  2. Gladiator Fox shocks on JLUR?

I assume I need to separate the 2 parts of the bushing first before I can get it inserted in?
  3. Gladiator Fox shocks on JLUR?

Sorry to dig up this old thread. I decided to get some gladiator rubicon shocks, installed the fronts and they look and feel great. I’m working on swapping the upper bushing for the rears but having trouble. I rented a jaw attachment puller and was able to remove the bushings from a set of...
  4. Shock leaking or weeping?

How do you like the bilsteins? Does it ride softer or firmer on the hi That’s unfortunate. Should I just toss these then?
  5. Shock leaking or weeping?

I bought a set of rubicon takeoff suspension parts for my sport s. I ended up letting them sit for about a year, earlier today I decided to try and install them and noticed the shocks may be leaking now. I did not know they were meant to be stored compressed until now. They have just been...
  6. Sport with rubi diesel suspension

I swapped my sport shocks back on in the front and the ride feels a lot nicer in the front. I’m wondering if I can get by with rubicon gladiator shocks or if I should switch the springs too.
  7. Sport with rubi diesel suspension

I actually have a second rubicon lift that I originally got but I didn’t go with it because those are the exact numbers. 91/92 should give me 2” in the rear but the 58/59 will only give me a half inch in the front. Do you know what your springs came off of? The person told me it was off a...
  8. Sport with rubi diesel suspension

I’ll let you know what I find out. I might test my sport shocks out with the current jlurd springs to see if it helps. Won’t take near as long to swap. For my Jeep I already have a steel bumper and winch but I know the extra weight would help now.
  9. Sport with rubi diesel suspension

Yes, I know it’s possible, I wasn’t sure if this is like a 2 minute job were you just slide it apart with the new part, or a job were you hit it with a hammer for 15 minutes.
  10. Sport with rubi diesel suspension

I hear what you’re saying. I’m hoping I can get by with different shocks and not have to swap the springs again but we’ll see.
  11. Sport with rubi diesel suspension

Ok good to know it should improve some over time. I also thought about swapping to fox 2.0 shocks or rubicon fox’s. Not sure what the difference is, was it easy to convert them for the jl?
  12. Sport with rubi diesel suspension

I recently installed a jlu rubicon diesel suspension on my jlu sport s. I got a little over 2.5” of lift and it looks great. The ride however is a different story. I read that the rubicon suspension was stiffer but this is significantly stiffer. Every bump in the road you can feel now...
  13. Bronco features you would like Jeep to incorporate into Wrangler during JL's mid-cycle redesign

I’ll repeat what other have said that I’d like: Optional rear locker on other models USB input for dash cam area All terrains replacing highway tires on all trims (why would jeep do this) The ability to order half doors in place of full doors (4K+ for half doors is a lot) Carpetless washable...
  14. Proximity door locks retrofit install (instructions, parts, links) on JL Wrangler

I’ll give my review so far. Added to driver side door only on my 2021 sport s. I did not have to add the 2 single wires. My only options are technology, heated seats, and convenience group. Used the tazer mini and it worked right away. installing the parts was relatively easy with one...
  15. Rubicon vs sport suspension height?

I’ll keep looking around. I bought this set since it was looked really clean/new. It has the red shocks so I’m assuming it’s off a willys. Now I’ll probably list this set and hope I can get my money back as a willys set.
  16. Rubicon vs sport suspension height?

Well that’s unfortunate. Not sure what I’ll do now. I’ll probably still put it on. Already bought a front spacer to help with the new steel bumper and winch. Don’t think I’ll bother with the mopar lcas now.
  17. Rubicon vs sport suspension height?

I just picked up a rubicon suspension off Facebook to put on my sport s. Once I get the set home I went to look up the springs, they look to be pretty low numbers. Not sure if I actually picked up a willys suspension or what. It looks like I’d only be going up 1 number on each side. Not sure if...
  18. Trailer wiring harness issue

Well I’m an idiot. Ya my multi meter wasn’t set to the right setting. It’s reading 12 now. It must just be the trailer wasn’t on the hitch so the lights didn’t come on.
  19. Trailer wiring harness issue

Yes, I am getting 26v at the 4 pin. Didn’t check the in line. Here’s a picture, I have the headlights on, multimeter on the ground and on the first of the 3 on the 4 pin (running lights) I talked to someone at curt and they said I should try connecting the ball on the trailer to ground the...
  20. Trailer wiring harness issue

I went back and looked at my taillight install and remounted the ground wire with the provided self tapping screw. Still reading 26v. I did notice wiring box had fallen from its original spot but all the wires looked good.
