ScanGauge 3 Mounting Options

Hey all,

Just ordered and am wondering if anyone has any ideas for a clean mount? Any example photos?

I mounted mine up between the center dash console and the area just in front of the gear selector. There’s that valley looking space there, just use adhesive backed velcro on the top and bottom to hold it in place. It won’t be completely visible when it’s in park but just lean forward a smidge and you can view it. When it’s in drive it’s perfect. Bonus part is that valley area allows for easy routing of the cable, plus I loop my phone cable under it. I’ll snap a photo later.

Yeah, sorry. That’s specifically why I went with the 2. Seems like your only options for the 3 are on top of the dash, window suction cup, or maybe the grab handle bar ball mount.

Unless there is an especially compelling feature on the III, I'd consider the II. The II has the ability to mount very cleanly. The height of the III will create challenges. This seems to be a case of newer isn't always better.

I agree that the mount may be an issue due to its overall height. Im willing to work with it for the improved screen and features of the ScanGauge 3. Appears to be a more feature rich product overall, though yes I would prefer it in a more compact form. At any rate the order was placed and it should be here on Monday. I do not care for the iDash I know Im probably in the minority there.....

In the bottom left corner of the windshield using their suction mount. I tried it up high and had the visor issue that you referenced.
