I just noticed today that there is rust forming around all of the hinges on the doors and tailgate..this can't be good.
I only have 14k miles on it.

Certainly looks like a rust bubble, I thought the door skins were aluminum though?

Yes the doors are aluminum. That is corrosion building up behind the paint.

I'm taking in on Monday to get fixed.
it's covered under the warranty, but I hope it doesn't come back. I also had it ceramic coated so I'm hoping they cover that too.

This same thing is happening to the area around my hinges! I bought my jeep in August 2018 and first noticed the rust/oxidation in May 2019. The dealership refused to fix it and told me it's just a paint imperfection. However this imperfection on the driver's door is growing and now I noticed it starting on the passenger door. How did you get them to fix yours?? Did they repaint your door (i.e. destroy the factory paint) or give you a new door?

I just picked it up and it looks like shit!
They said FCA won't let them blend it?
The dealership is going to contact FCA about getting it fixed

The JL press kit states aluminum doors and hinges. Not sure if this means the door skin is aluminum or steel skins with aluminum inner structure.

The problem is aluminum won't stop corroding if exposed to oxygen or water. It will spread wherever if can get air and as the corrosion bubbles it peels the paint from more aluminum letting the problem spread.

Huge issue on aircraft..... nasty shit.

Acid dip to remove corrosion, followed by zinc chromate primer might be the only option and then repaint.

Not magnetic so seems to be aluminum? The only steel I found were the bolts.

If they can't blend it, then why didn't they paint the whole door? I don't see how it's acceptable to paint part of a panel and not blend it.
